food The Drunken Chef

How did you like the heat and flavor of each? Nachos look awesome and glad the package arrived!

I seriously <3 that mystery wine powder ... i'm not sure what pepper they come from, but i'll have to look into that and start some ...

Also, the jala powder was pretty serious, which made it really awesome ... I'm used to thinking of jala as being not all that hot, but the powder is pretty rockin' ...

The white habanero powder didn't pair the nachos as well as the other, however, it made me consider using it on popcorn - which I'll likely test time permitting =)

Overall, really awesome ... and it was def nice the package arrived for the weekend!

I am going to try and grow out that mystery wine again and hope for the best. No idea what it is but man oh man everything that has tried it including me LOVES it! White Hab on popcorn rocks

Nice looking nachos GM. I'd love some, but tell D not to be so stingy with teh cheese next time! Frenzix, I don't know what that is, but I want it.

Love the random pic of the watermelon.

JT - yeah, true that ... what would be the difference between gaining 3.5 and 4 or 5 pounds overnight anyways, right? =) ...

nachos were a diet nightmare, or ... a water retention nightmare at the least ...

mmmmmmmmm....cheep and easy comfort food.

M & C could easily have its own thread there's so many combinations of the stuff.

Sriracha and mac & scheeze have been under cover lovers for years.

Outstanding DC presentation and execution Boom!

Yep, you absolutely cannot go wrong with some box mac 'n' cheese.

I found some of these in the back of the freezer, cooked them and crumbled
them up:

Chopped up a habanero:

Put both on top of a tortilla with lots of cheese and pan fried with a lid
in order to melt the cheese. Then folded into a quesadilla:

And topped that thang with canned chili.

Those morningstar black bean pattys are good. I use them in a similiar fashion sometimes, and I'll just throw em on a tortilla and make a taco outta them. Versatile stuff

I checked out our store today for that Morningstar Black Bean shtuff......
...y'all had me curious.

No dice. My tiny-town store let me down. Every freaking other Morningstar product, but no black bean patties.

:mope:

It's kewl tho....I'm gonna make some drunken tofu bites instead....and YES - they will will be HOT. :onfire:

Laverne, Shirley you know all you have to do is ask!!!! I've picked them up there before (like..a year ago..) and i liked 'em!

NOW! Back to the BlueBox Mac-n-Cheese!!!!

I KNOW we ain't supposed to self-promote...but sometimes the family says it best. The Kid doesn't usually eat Ghost Fire, but the ONE DISH he likes Ghost Fire on is BBM&C. Coming from a 13 year...that's gotta count for SOMETHING, right?
