food-bev The Drunken Chef

Don't worry I stabbed it when it tried to crawl off the plate. That's how I like 'em. Jack up the heat on th CI, throw the steak in. Let it sizzle for a minute, flip it over and take it out. Mmmmmmm. Round two of tonight's dinner is cooking now. Another quesadilla. Turkey, bacon, cheddar and bbq.

JayT that looks like bacon-steak foo-licious!

I really like doing up liver and onion with bacon like that. Hell, everything is better when done up like that.

Hey TB, I brought this up as a game plan for THIS weekend. But if you are going to be too busy playing with your Turkey, then I understand and won't be bothering you.

No worries...I have a more or less forced 4 day holiday from work and will have entirely too much time on my hands to post brazen tomfoolishnessess and foody porn.

This should be a very interesting weekend, indeed!

I reckon so....mrs. blues is forcing me to roast a turkey. I don't do turkey as dear old mom made a sweet stuffing for a bird once when I was a kid that was so bad, I can't handle it to this day. I'd rather have duck but alas....no.

Im not sur eif i posted this but made this a few days ago
had some sweet potatoes decided to slice into french fries.
Seasoned with some brown sugar, cinnamon, super hot pepper powder, salt pepper,a little olive oil on sheet, baked in the oven till crisp,

I usually stuff the bird w/ carrots, onions and fresh sage and thyme.....gives it a really good flavor. Best part of all is that you can just leave it all in the cavity, and when you've carved most of the meat off.....you just throw the whole thamn ding in the stock pot!

? Huh?

I'm cooking for twelve today. 18lb bird, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, two different stuffings; one regular, one sausage, apple, and raisin. Also, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, cheesy cauliflower, mac-n-cheese for the kids, creamed corn, cranberry sauce, etc etc.

Ain't it the truth!! The kids love the teriyaki sauce and I'm partial to my Walkerswood sauce (a heavy cream and jerk seasoning reduction)....it's to die for with shrimp!
