Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.

In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.

Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.

Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

Really hoping for something nice out
of the F7 Violet. there have been some
beautiful pods in the past from that
strain.

These Trippaul Threat about 5 weeks along.
The v2 F3 Orange almost dried out, and is a
slower grower to boot, so babying it along.
The F7 Violet looks like a decent plant. Maybe
a candidate for a #15 NC.

Managed to get a baker’s dozen of seeds
from the first two pods on the F9. We’ll see
how they look when they dry out. If they are
decent looking I’d send them to a couple of
folk interested in growing them. They are from
erect flowers and pods, which is unusual.

I started some Trippaul threat V2 F4 and some trippaul Threat F9 on the 31.01, I dragged a bit to repot but I found the time to do it yesterday.
All plants are purple for the moment, seeds where gifted by PaulG this year.

I'm glad you decided to grow the F9 'White Lightening'.
I will be very interested to see if yours has the erect
flowers and pods.

Two Trippaul Threat plants started for 2022.

The v2 F3 Orange was the smallest of the five plants
in the F3 grow, and is behaving that way again. Very
slow-growing at the moment, but starting to get it in
gear lately.

These seedlings look great!

Thanks for growing out the Trippaul Threat varieties
this season, @Deadpouk ! I am looking forward to seeing
how they do for you. Looking good so far!

The Trippaul Threat F9 ‘White Lightning’ OW
in the 8” clay bulb pan is putting on a ton of
new growth and extending its branches.

Also on a budding binge.

Maybe it will set some more pods.

Really loaded with flowers and buds.

The Trippaul Threat v2 F4 Orange. Was the smallest
of the F3 plants, but had awesome orange 3" pods.
Really hoping for a repeat of that in this F4.

Has sort of lost some of the purple shading.
Wondering if my 10-year old T5HO lamps are
losing some of their 'shine'. At least it is finally
growing out a bit.

Top down on the Trippaul Threat 2022 versions.

v2 F4 Orange Pods...................................................F7 Violet Pods.

Seems to be recovering some
of the purple shading.

@PaulG a few Trippaul Threat White Lightning A+ F8 have sprouted; to fit into your standard should I select the darkest seedling??

That has been my modus operandi thus far, @Bou.
That being said, at the F8 White Lightening and be-
yond, it is pretty stable, but surprises can always
pop up. I have almost always selected seed I've
sent out from the dark purple, white pods plants.
There are some violet and 'purple' pod strains float-
ing around, as well.
