Nice pods in those trays, Uros. You have
some good-sized fruit in there!
I notice the trays are solid. How does the
air circulate through them? Would it be
an imposition if I asked for a picture of
your dryer set-up?
Thank you Paul.
Some are big yes, but now with the lower temperatures the overall size of pods is smaller too.
I'm waiting for the rest to ripen so I can call it an end of the season.
The second wave of covid is happening, if we stay healthy we'll have plenty of time to prepare the garden for the winter, but not if we'll have to help the kids attend school online again.
Weird times. Can't expect a 8 and 10-year old will do what he has too to daily for school if you're not helping and/or motivating him. And there is also a big concern about everybody's jobs if this lasts long.
In worst scenario the economical after effects of these pandemics can make a chain reaction of failing businesses... hoping for the best.
It's an entry level fruit dryer.
Trays are solid and deep, they're supposed to not mix the aroma too much, if you're drying mixed food, but that's just 'bs' if you ask me.
The fan is blowing the air down the center and it goes into each tray individually and exits the tray on the outside, where you can see the exit lines on the top of each tray.
The process would take a lot less time if trays were not solid so the air could blow everywhere. I guess.
I'm keeping the heat on minimum so it dries them in about 5 days (I'm keeping it running for about 4 hours each evening when I'm close by).
