vincent's 2013 season ***10/22/13 SUPER HUGE MEGA 40ish PICTURE UPDATE***

Well well well. Here we are again folks. Spent the last couple days getting everything all set up how i would like it to be (heat mat temps, lights hanging in right position, and the never ending task of finalizing a grow list. But i think ive done it...lol. i will be using a hydrofarm 4ft, 6 bulb, T5 fixture along with a heat mat set to88 F. I did not soak seeds overnight as i did last season so ill see if it makes a difference. Im putting litt. Ms. Oriah down for a nap at the moment but will post the final grow list here shortly

Pics to follow my friends.

Nice move in potting them up, all looks healthy. You'll have monster plants in no time.

Go easy on the watering after potting up. Dryer soil will improve root growth. If the soil stays saturated the plants will stay idle.

Thanks Greg, yea I did a semi-experiment last season and moved plants in 3.5" pots straight to 5 gallon root pouches and some into 1 gallon and then into 5 gallons. The ones I "stepped up" so to speak did much better.

I have always heard/read that after you pot up you were supposed to water them one time real thorough and then water regularly after that.

Nice to see this still going... can't wait to see the fruit!

You're right, the drench after potting up will compress the soil a bit...which is good, no need for air pockets around the sides of the pot. What I like to do is tease the rootball apart before potting in a larger container. Getting the roots out of the circular pattern and into the spread will promote a stronger footing and prepare the plant for the final home. Nice color on the plants......you tak'em good care of dem.

Ok cool. And thank you, I just try to let them be as much as possible but man it's hard to do that haha

mee too Vincent. I am scared that the more I disturb the root the more shock they will experience. I dont know whats right or wrong. I guess you just go with what works. I also think mine didnt kick into gear until really late. That maybe the natural trade off. Little shock, pods sooner. No shock, pods later.

Those are looking GREAT, Vincent! Awesome varieties. You're going to be smothered in pods. The weather report looks awesome!

Thanks for all the kind words everybody. Got some very nice growth on all the plants and moved everything up to 1 gallon pots. They are fully hardened and have been outside full time for about a week. Weather has been great, highs in the 80s and lows in the mid 50s. Most all of the plants have buds everywhere. Ok enough talk, picture time.

Got just a couple more after a bump, thanks for looking

For real on the pollen! It's yellow tinted everything today.
Opened the car door to leave work and a yellow pollen dust cloud swirled off into the air. And it's in an open parking lot, with no trees within 500+ yards. Washed my OWs off when i got home.
I need to get to hardening off!
Your plants are looking killer! Obviously loving the sun.

Thanks man. Yea they are loving the sun, and the awesome temperatures we've been having here lately. I brought them inside this morning though because of the massive line of storms/tornadoes coming my way. I highly doubt the poor babies would make it through this weather

Gonna be an interesting day, they are predicting tornadoes and straight line winds and all kinds of nasty stuff.

Be safe Vincent.

That was a excellent call.

Your plants lookt too perfecto to let a nasty storm destroy them !
