WC 2010

I thought I'd curl up on the couch while waiting for the France/Uruguay game.....woke up 10 minutes after it finished. 4:30am games suck :( but I won't make the same mistake for for the Australia/Germany match on Monday morning. You'll beat Denmark Vincent, I always enjoy watching Holland play.

Half ya luck! All web streams are disabled, and I can't get SBS on the telly. I'm stuck with SBS radio at best. At best.

Crystal clear here ;). You best find somewhere else to watch the England game and Australia game.
 
Watched my first full match today. Was pretty cool. Plan on watching Serbia and Ghana and the Aussie/German ones too.
 
All the 'hot' teams have made pretty poor starts so far, and with Brazil and Spain yet to play, it's all for the taking.

Given that Aussie coach Pim Verbeek doesnt like strikers and prefers boring defensive football, I think it'll backfire on him.

Emerton and Cahill will want to move forward, but the line-up he'll surely field will be caught on the counter attack and thats where Germany will catch them.

Pim dropped McDonald in favour of injured players like Kewell and Kennedy, and offered a spot to Rukavytsya instead.

Looks like a game where Aus may get a point, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the most boring game of the compo!
 
I believe he's benching Kewell and Bresciano because they're just not game fit. I'm sure if McDonald was up to the task he would have been picked, but let's face it, it's not hard for a player to shine playing in Scotland. Big deal if you're scoring every week in a 2 horse race. Did you manage to watch the England game Toon? That was some bad luck not getting 3 points, you have my condolences. If it ends up an England/Australia match in round 2, who will you be cheering on???? Hopefully they play well enough to get a point and get some confidence going into the other 2 games but I won't be putting any money on it that's for sure.
 
After watching the Slovenia/Algeria match, USA fans would have to be pretty confident of progressing as I'm sure they're quite capable of getting results off both games. I was hoping for a draw between Serbia and Ghana but it wasn't to be. Makes the Germany game more important to us. I'd better get an hour or so of sleep now....
 
Yeah, I believe that the US and England should have no problems with the next two games and Aussi land will be second in their group.
 
Well that was a dreadful performance and to lose Cahill for the next game is a big blow. They carved us up all over the park. I'm very disappointed. :cry:
