Wild in Las Vegas 2014 (Hardening off and flowers!!)

So now it's time to make another attempt and hope for a better year.

I didn't want to make a glog this year... but I see many already started. That motivates me to make a glog.

2013 was a year for learning and making mistakes and mostly experiments. Needless to say I found and learned a lot and I know this year is gonna rock!

Well yeah they're definitely gonna go outside, but when the crazy heat kicks in they're going back in.

Right now I'm focusing moreb on the tepin hybrids. Most of my other peppers are going in the ground.

Btw here's how the tepin x 7 pot is doing.

These look great!  The chiltepin x 7 pot cross is looking very chinense-like, I wonder if the fruit will too?


Thanks Charles. Yes sir, exactly what I'm thinking. Doesn't look annuum like the F1. This one I'm keeping in that little hydro rig until it gets at least 7 sets of leaves or when it starts to fork. That's gonna be quick, and hopefully I get pods from this one before the infernal heat.

Yes indeed. Want seeds Rob? If we meet I can give you a few, and if you want I also have seed for the tepin x lemon drop. Btw I haven't gone to that compost place, I got beat up at work and when I got home I just dropped dead LOL. Lmk if you still want to go so I can get me some after work super dose of caffeine to go raid that shat LOL.

I know a couple people on here are growing out the F2, so we should get to see some variation... and maybe a winner  :fireball: .

Nice.  I'm hoping one of these F2 will look awesome and then those can be grown out.  I also still have F2 in case anyone wants to roll the genetic dice...

Plants look super, and pics do as well! Very impressive!
 
Surprised at your take on the T5's, they're rocking for me. Although they do produce very tight growth between nodes and very dark leaves.
 
Keep doing what you're doing cuz it works!

No, prob. I'd still say won't use compost but I would be a huge plus to amend on this ugly Vegas soil.

Thanks Scott! Don't worry tho, I read up that you had some issues with the internet. Glad everything is good now.

It's just my experience with these... I'm also running it with 2 warm bulbs. Should that matter? It's very bright, and I see people here arguing that peppers aren't color sensitive which still makes me think LEDs are overall good lighting for most plants and less watts. No heat is a plus for me too.
 
Teaser! Yup I'm not finished with sowing! :D (probably never will LOL).

I'm gonna be off for 3 days from work, soooo this is gonna be a nice weekend for me. I need to sow the wild annuum and these I just got. I still hate myself for not getting the CAP 1141, so if anyone has this one I can possibly trade.

Exactly what I'm doing when I get a house here. I want to get every square yard from the front and back of the house. Need some flowers for the wife too.

Receiving my seeds today made my day. I need to order when I'm not in a urge to sow or need the seed. I need these lances to germinate now :D. Interested in anything?

The one I had 100% germinate was the CGN 19198. The others not so good. In fact I had none germinate from the CGN 21502. And now I'm about to give these new ones a whirl.
