My every season starts with Texas Pequin, because it never stops growing. A few weeks back we dug up about 30 of these perennial plants to rescue them from the relentless march of the upcoming super hots...

Glad you have the helpers Gary, can't beat it
Thegreenchilemonster said:Great harvest of NM peppers there! It must be nice to have sone helping hands to pick those buckets full of peppers.

The Zapotec looks tasty. Nothing like ripe Jalapeño. I see some corking on some of them.
Congrats.
PaulG said:Outstanding as always, Gary! Your pod review was great - vicarious
thrills for me since I don't do that (very often.) Really good to see more
of an overview of your yard in the taste test vid, looks very nice.
I envy your pepper crew - i only can get two hands on any chore, so I
don't get much done

Those helpers made all the difference, Scott...I neglected to mention that they also built the beds you see behind them...
windchicken said:Harvested a nice crop of New Mexico Chile and Zapotec Jalapeño early last Saturday morning, followed by two days of roasting, peeling, canning, and smoking. These girls are experts at all of it...

You do know Tejas is not that far away Hint, hint...LOL
Great that you have enthusiastic help, who really seem to be enjoying their time in the garden. That's what it's all about. It's so important to share the "garden time", as it will inspire them to garden and hopefully share the experience with others. I'm proud to have passed on the "garden gene" to my son, and happy to see you doing the same

Bhuter said:Great video! Very nice plants! Reminds me a lot of SB7J. Are they similar? I tried to grow Wartryx last year and it didn't grow true. Your plants and pods all look spectacular! And your yard is breathtaking. I love it. Fantastic job!
Superhot Sim said:Gary that earth soil really does give your plants super fertile soil, I love the way your plants are pod factory's and always loaded.
There some of the best Wartryx pods iv seen. You done Matthew proud buddy.

PaulG said:Hey, Gary - loving the phenotypes on the Wartryx bushes.
Looks meaner on the bush than it did in your hand
Keep up the good work, buddy!
MikeUSMC said:Wow! Beautiful plants, Gary! Love the SB pheno too!
Hope Gary does not mind me answering but I asked the Creator Matthew Arthur what's Wartryx a cross off? Matthews reply was "ask the bees " how can anyone argue with the pepper genius.
