My every season starts with Texas Pequin, because it never stops growing. A few weeks back we dug up about 30 of these perennial plants to rescue them from the relentless march of the upcoming super hots...

Outstanding as always, Gary!  Your pod review was great - vicarious
thrills for me since I don't do that (very often.)  Really good to see more
of an overview of your yard in the taste test vid, looks very nice.
 
I envy your pepper crew - i only can get two hands on any chore, so I
don't get much done  :rofl:

I am blessed beyond measure to have those girls helping me...They are truly amazing young women; the future of the planet could not be in better hands...

Great that you have enthusiastic help, who really seem to be enjoying their time in the garden. That's what it's all about. It's so important to share the "garden time", as it will inspire them to garden and hopefully share the experience with others. I'm proud to have passed on the "garden gene" to my son, and happy to see you doing the same ;)

I like to think this is something that will make all the difference, Scott...both in their lives and in the world. Especially that they are learning to build soil with RCW, something that is a very tough sale, at best, with older, more experienced gardeners. But besides all that, and more to the point, I don't know when I've had more fun than I am right now working with these kids...

Thanks so much for the kind words Adam! I know I've had SB7J, but I honestly can't remember what it was like? I have a huge bag of Wartryx seeds straight from Matthew. If you would like some send me your address on the PM. The germ rate is excellent, and the plants are insanely vigorous, as you can see from the video...
 
Gary that earth soil really does give your plants super fertile soil, I love the way your plants are pod factory's and always loaded.
There some of the best Wartryx pods iv seen. You done Matthew proud buddy.

Hope Gary does not mind me answering but I asked the Creator Matthew Arthur what's Wartryx a cross off? Matthews reply was "ask the bees " how can anyone argue with the pepper genius. [emoji28] [emoji28]

Thanks Rick! I've really got no idea about the provenance of the Wartryx. I wouldn't have grown it at all, as I am moving away from super hots, but Matthew was so very generous with his seeds, and, as you said, the fruit seems so very unique and compelling...

Thanks for that Simmy! I think that's one of my favorite quotes of all time about plant breeding. Matthew and I are very much of the same mind in our appreciation for nature's knowing far better how to grow things than all the smart-alecky manipulation of the environment that we humans so love to employ...
