Yes it would be wonderful to boast of bountiful harvests, no pests and cold cold beer! I had an easy last season because i met a girl and dropped all planting plans. The only ones growing were the ones overwintered! :D

Pull my finger joey

Brrrrrrrrt. There ya go :)

For the record my bhut sprouted at ten and i eat rocks for breakfast sprinkled with uranium. :D

Here are some updated photos- 15 days after planting.

The one in the blue pot was started at the same time as the hydro one so just put it next to it so you can see the size difference.

Here is the original photo of the hydro plant (15 days ago)

Here are the other ones that I have put outside. They are growing nicely.

Looking good, Candice!

Are you getting much sun over there? It's been cloudy as here the past week and they reckon rain, rain, rain starting on the weekend and into next week. Definitely not good as some of my little guys have already outgrown my humble little grow light and are really depending on the sun now. :(

Its been sunny here for a week but thats about to change after the weekend apparently. Candice do the ones you have outside get taken in at night? It's been getting cold at night and I can't imagine they would grow through that.

Yeah we have been lucky, its been about 19 degrees here all week with sun. Night is cold though.
What are you going to do through winter with no light or warmth

The ones in the blue pot outside have actually been moved to the hothouse (where I will also be doing the second lot of hydro with no artificial light) and I close the doors up at night. Not sure how warm it is in there though, but I'm sure it is helping. My other plants that I have left outside are still ok but they are more mature. When I get around to it I will look into a heater for the hothouse. Anyone got ideas on what would be the cheapest to run?

Good question! From the start, my plan has just been to wing it and hope for the best!

I guess I have just been hoping it was going to be a nice sunny winter so I could have my little guys out during the day and then bring them in at night.....

Is it usually sunny all year round in Brisbane? I think a few people have said to me that they can grow year round there?
If not how bout you just put them in the house under a fluoro. Maybe that might work, or at least they would be able to survive if not grow much???

Last night I sowed about 90 seeds into seed raising mix after soaking in Chamomile tea for a day. They are in my germination box which maintains about 27c-29c.
I chose mainly Chinense varieties.
Jaimca Scotch Bonnet
Aji Amarillo
Aribibi Gusano
Congo Brown
Limon
Trinidad Scorpion
Peruvian White Habanero
Fatalii
Peter Pepper Orange
Cochiti
Bishop's Crown
Naga Morich
Red Bhut Jolokia
Choc Bhut Jolokia
Red Habanero
Hot Cherry
Cayenne Gold
"Mystery Pepper" (was given to me I have absolutely no idea what it could be)

I'll be counting the days and recording the rates.

7 degrees here at the moment. Nearly 8 o'clock in the morning. Brrrrrr this shiznit i could do without!

The seedlings i have in the garage at home are doing pretty well just under a twin fluro setup, i think it's the Galapogeonese (sic) that's going off it's head way better than the other mostly Rocoto's. I may just put some more seeds into some pellets this afternoon, i may actually label them this time too! :D
