Weather peeps are forecasting up to a FOOT of rain in the next few days and flash flooding for certain areas of the upper hunter. Everything be clean as a whistle after that lot!

That doesn't sound that great, hope everything will be ok for you. Yeah I was thinking my car will be getting a good wash now.(it only gets it in winter!)
Occasionally we think of moving states but everywhere I think of is prone to disasters. Not much happens here in the west in the city

I spent five hours on Saturday detailing my car but not because i wanted to, i was ordered to by my boss. Then driving to work in it SUCKED because it was absolutely pouring! Oh well, i get to say goodbye to the Peugot and hello to my new wheels, a nice AWD Ford Territory. :woohoo:

Been nice and sunny on the gold coast yesterday and today. Although its not all that warm with some nasty winds about ... Don't know what happened to all the predicted rain?? Must have stayed down NSW way

Novacastrian what type of set-up do you have for the seedlings (ie lighting heating etc?)
I am just using natural light for my germinated seeds at the moment but am looking at some cheaper lighting options to try to speed up growth for the next couple of months, probably just some cool white (6400K) CFL's I was thinking...

All i use is a twin fluro thingy. Just pop the seedlings under that after germ. For germing i use a tub with water in it and an aquarium heater to warm the water. Just put germing seeds in a container a float it on the water. Keeps the temp and humidity up.

Scrub the first part ... I have just been ahving a read through this thread and I see your set-up now ... think I will have to invest in a heating mat and thermostat in the future to speed up the germinations ... don't think the top of my pay-tv box is quite up to scratch or temp.
