Yeah, It's Snowing

I've been there several times...I lived in Goodland for 4 years...

You've been at Snook Inn? Absolutely nice place! Southern as hell, great sea food buffet. I'm not into fishing. But if you are you can bring your own booty and they'll cook it for you. Very friendly people. And their Barnacle Blaster Hot Sauce with habaneros is yummy!

I watched it snow off an on while out hunting for the past week. It was really cool Friday night with a calm wind sitting there and I noticed a movement out of the corner of my eye. I thought it was a deer at first. Just a turkey. Then another........then I kept watching and before I knew it I counted 21 Turkeys within 20 yards of my treestand. Kind of annoying when it's Thanksgiving time almost and I can't even shoot a Turkey without a tag:lol:. It was really pretty with the snow falling during this though. However, now I have chapped lips from the stinking cold wind:lol: I'll admit too though. Snow is really scenic and there's an odd peace with winter. Wierd, but I enjoy it just like all of the other seasons.

We got two inches here today. Weatherman predicted flurries. They don't know sh*t. I heard it is the biggest snow here in November in many years. Not a good sign for the winter ahead.

The farmers almanac is predicting a really harsh and cold wither for the Midwest this year. Alot colder than normal actually. I think we may be in for a doozy. This has most definitely been colder than normal here already. It got down into the teens last night here already:shocked:

well said Rabbit, haven't seen you for awhile, as you say, you've been in the woods

Yes, I have been my friend. However, I didn't forget about you guys. I'm just sitting here BSing trying to wear my beer buzz off a little before my wife comes home.

I can't stand the snow. Sorry to all you snow lovers. Don't get me wrong...I enjoy a magical wonderland, but its beauty disappears in a day and you are left with inconvenient piles of dirty debris filled ice. I'm a glass half full type of guy can you tell? Hahaha

Well, you ARE from Jersey so that explains quite a bit:lol:

I've only ever seen snow up close once in my life.....and that was on a holiday to the snow fields of southern NSW, 2 years ago.

They had a crappy season and we got everything really cheap because of that and due to the fact that we went at the end of the season.....

Well the 6 days we were there, they got the best snow falls for the season.....hehe...

I really enjoyed it but I don't think I would like to live in it on a regular basis....I like where i live, good temps (the highs aren't to high and the lows aren't to low) and i'm only half an hour away from some of the best beaches and fishing spots in Australia....(IMO)

That sounds great. We had five inches of snow last night. But this morning it already started to melt. That's why they call some tires "Mud + Snow". We usually have more mud than snow.

Sorry, i was just kidding.

I know that. You certainly didn't have to apologize. If I actually cared I wouldn't have said it in a joking manner you would have received a not so nice PM haha. Feel free to bust me about living in Jersey anytime.
