It was a first go and I'm under no illusions about my chances of getting any votes. You guys really go all out on your food for the superbowl. :P

Very nice!!! I've never baked a wonton wrapper before. My first impulse is to fry them. I bet when baked, they'd hold up nicely to the moisture of the other ingredients. Any sogginess issues?

Sogginess only if not eaten within the hour. Best bet is to get everything ready, leave in fridge and put together when necessary

Chicken wings

According to a past report by the National Chicken Council, few items will be more prominent on viewer's plates during Super Bowl weekend than chicken wings. Supposedly this year, enough wings will be consumed during Super bowl weekend to stretch from Candlestick Park to M&T Bank Stadium 27 times.

Ingredients

1.5 lbs chicken wingettes
1 teaspoon sesame oil
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1/2 tablespoon chili sauce
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon approx fresh ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons approx fresh garlic
3 tablespoons chopped green onion
canola oil as required
4 1/2 tablespoons corn starch
3 chile de arbol
3/4 cup water
1 egg white

To pre-prep chicken:

1. De-skin chicken as necessary.
2. Combine 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil, egg white, and 3 tablespoons corn starch in bowl. mix well. Add chicken to bowl and coat well. Allow to sit 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

To prepare sauce:

1. Add a bit of canola oil to a pan at medium heat.
2. Cut 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic and onions as required into appropriately smaller pieces. Wash and peel 1 teaspoon ginger, shred.
3. Add garlic, onions, ginger, and 3 chile de arbols into pan.
4. Let cook for about a minute
5. Add 3/4 cup water first; then 1/2 sesame oil, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon tomato paste, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon chili sauce, and 3 tablespoons brown sugar. Mix well and bring to boil.
6. After boil, move a few tablespoons of sauce into a measuring cup to combine with 1 1/2 tablespoons corn starch. Mix this well, then return mixture to pan and let boil for a few minutes.
7. When finished, set heat to low.

To prepare chicken:

1. Heat some canola oil in a pan, and cook pre-coated chicken in small batches till done.

To combine sauce and chicken:

1. Pour chicken and sauce into a skillet on low heat. Allow to simmer for a few minutes.
2. Remove chile de arbol pieces, and serve.

Darthpepper & Randkev07's mini-cheezy super easy burger bites

*recipe can be modified to make diff flavors*

We did classic cheeseburger, and bleu cheese and bacon.

Burger
Onion
Worcestershire Sauce
Garlic salt
Sicmix powder
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Bleu cheese crumbles
Bacon
Milk
Bisquick
Eggs
* Condiments ~ whatever you like *

1. Preheat oven 375. Spray muffin cups with cooking spray.

2. Cook beef and onion over med heat for 5-7 min, until thoroughly cooked. Drain. Cool 5 min. Stir Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, cheddar cheese and hot pepper powder. (This is just cheddar cheese if you're doing a diff variation add ingredients here: bleu cheese and cooked, crumbled bacon etc).

3. In med bowl mix eggs, bisquick, and milk until blended. Spoon 1 tbsp into each muffin cup. Top with 1/4 cup burger mixture. Spoon 1 tbsp bisquick mixture on top of burger mixture.

4. Bake for 20-25 minutes and check. They are done when knife inserted in middle comes out clean and they are a nice golden brown. Cool 5 min. Loosen sides of muffins from pan; remove and place in cooking rack. Cool 10 minutes and serve with whatever condiments you desire.

Ok pic sizes are all screwy and at the moment I am to tired to fix them.
