Sorry Pepper Lover, but your "Jalapeno Cracked" are terrible. I had 4 plants this year and only one turned out to be a Jalapeno. And it isn't hot or special at all.  This is for your information, as well as everybody else's.

I'm guessing it's chlorosis from water logged roots. Explanation: I mulch to prevent the myriad of disease that affect my tomatoes peppers and basil. This is the first year mulching peppers, and even with the long periods of dry weather, the soil remains wet. I'm aware peppers don't like this...

Bought these as Red Savina seeds last year from Pepper Joes. Not Red Savinas and labeled them the mystery pepper. This is this years plant:        

What is the best way to transplant them? I used to separate the roots but now I've resorted to just leaving them alone. I know there is a thread on this but I'm still not sure. Will bound root balls expand if left alone?

I use the Neptunes Harvest Crabshell for calcium. SImple question:   How long does it take to dissolve the calcium and become usable to the plants? Is it a waste to apply this to potting start that will only be in the pot for another 6 weeks?

I feel like I should know what this is. But can't think of it. Is it bad? How do I fix it?             Seems to be crinkling the leaves.

   

I lost a plant today to it. I use organic potting soil. Any chance it could come from this? I would guess it would more likely come from the tomato tone fertilizer.

Is 90-95 too hot for annums and baccatums to sprout? A few Chinenses are doing well I find it odd that the faster growing ones are taking longer.

I need a drying pepper with a lot of heat. I usually grow yatsufusa (labeled from the nursery as Thai Dragon). They dry very easily and have a lot of heat. Those that have experience what is the difference between the two other than size?

I'm not a stranger to tomato diseases. I have to control them every year. But this one is new. The leaves go limp and then turn yellow. The branch will eventually completely dry out. Maybe it's fertilizer burn? I don't fertilize heavily, but am trying a new one.
