I read that the Tabasco chili has thin walls while these here have very thick and crisp. Noticeably thicker than the Thai if that's any clue?

Yeah kinda what I figured, so they're ready to go outside (potted) by early April I guess.

Calyx is a new term for me. If you mean the stem part that secures the pod to stem then no, these are on there pretty tight. Hi,   I am also in San Jose and am wondering if now is a good time to start germinating? Do you grow inside until March or ? I have cleared an area inside with nice diffuse light for germinating and wondering when is a good time to start?

I apologize if this has been asked, but how is Miracle Grow All Purpose for my potted chilies?   This is a blue granular substance that mixes with water. I've been using it for 2 weeks now, mixing 1 spoon per gallon as directed with watering can. Any thoughts?

If I remember correctly they're white but I need to go and get a picture. I thought they might be Tabasco at first except for the heat. If store bought Thai are "X" my homegrown Thai are "2X" and these are at minimum twice as hot as the Thai I grow, if not more? Can you judge a chili by it's...

Ok, yeah. How hot are the Prarie Fire. These are much hotter than my Thai, at least 2x and way hotter than the store bought Thai.

Looks very very similar but the plant is taller, about 24". I'll put up a couple more images in a sec.  

lol, that's hilarious. I eat like 3-5 Thai chili a day with my meals, they're hot but I love them. Camping over the weekend a buddy asked to try one and he just popped the whole thing in his mouth and chewed it all up nicely....lol, funny stuff as he tried to keep a straight face wheile tunring...
