Afternoon all. It's been a while since my last post as nothing at all seems to have happened with my plants. I've had a few fruit so far but lots of plants dropping flower.
I've read that in order to encourage more flower production you should harvest fruit as soon as it's ready. It this true...
Well the family have settled into their new garden. Much more room now and tons of all day sunshine. Not a lot of room to plant in the soil so pots are going to be the order of the day for the time being.
PRAIRIE FIRE. Little flower buds starting to form.
EXPLOSICE EMBRE. Looks like a...
So, here we've got one of my Orange Habs on the left and a Choc Hab on the right. They were planted and sprouted at he same time and I would have though that given they are of the same family they would grow at the same rate. But as you can see there is a huge size differance. Is there a...
Mate, I have the same problem every time I put a new crop in. I'm forever giving away seedlings to friends and family (whether they want them or not). It's an addiction.
Cool I'll check it out and see how I go.
BTW- Is anyone growing Fresno? I got some seeds from a friend in England but don't know much about them. A bit like a Jalapeno if I beleive the photos.
Hopefully I'll get some room to put a few in the ground in the new place.
We'll be just opposite Kangaroo Point, I think...... Still new to this town!!
Yeah, I think they are coming along OK. Is root rot a majoor problem for potted peppers?
We're moving just over the river to New Farm. Right down the bottem near the river.
They get full sun from about 12 Midday. The top 1/3 or so gets dryed out on hot days and I tend to water after that. The little buggers seem to be happy enough I suppose. I guess we'll see as we go along.
The only place to put my plants is under cover on our balcony. They miss all the rain as a result. Thank christ I'm moving next weekend to a place with a garden!!!!!
So Brisbaneites how often are you watering your platns in pots with this hot weather upon us? Im letting the top layer of soil to dry and watering about every two days. Sound about right?
Though it time for an update. Things are going well this year. Tons of sun (certainly better that Bristol) so looks promising for a good crop.
Explosive Ember. I know nothing about these. Anyone grown them before?
Choc Hab. Can't wait to get into these. Love em!
Birds Eye. Seems to...
