Annie's 2014 Glog: FINAL Grow List before new 2014 glog

Began 2013 yesterday morning. 12 hour soak seed soak in potassium nitrate and H202 (diluted) in ice trays. Kept warm on heat mats. Mix is Promix BX with a lot of perlite added. Pre-moistened, then put in 72 cell 6 pack flats and bottom watered on heat mat to fully wet mix with Actinovate, kelp, Biotamax--a sliver--then drained, aerated with fork, then back to mats to await seeds. Lost a few seeds as I'm handier with turkey baster (obviously from seeds left in bulb when clean-up) when it's used for Q or turkey, but have plenty of viable seeds. Trying to prevent damping off. Seeds from Chris, Jamie (Romy6), Ed, Judy (pepperlover.com), peppergal, peppermania, Baker Creek, Trade Winds, Tomato Grower's Supply, My Patriot Supply . . . and my own saved. Now to prevent damping off. Have ordered Pyrethrin to go with Actinovate, lots of fans, soil temps were 85 this morning when wood stove was dying, restoked, back up to 90F, soil temps (sorry, no pic), as while carrying in wood in our ice and snow/ice storm yesterday morning, I fell. Sorta fell. Falling would have hurt less: why do we try to stop the inevitable? This is my first grow of superhots, so please, any suggestions?! Lemme know, please. Right now the domes are on again, but will be slanting them off in a couple days, if not sooner, and always, flats get 20 minutes fresh air in morning. (Freezing but fresh air <grin>.)

Lights and mylar box--other side of shelving unit is large white sheet (and I know the mylar is crinkled). Also there's some diluted Clorox gunk am gonna get off, but for now, I like the idea of diluted Clorox gunk.

Other side lights: fans

Thanks to so many helpful members here. I hope these seeds hook, live long, prosper, aka do not damp-off. Updates, I hope . Peace, Annie

OHHH ANNIE ANNIE ANNIE   My goodness girl. Not the mud in the mouth thang.....OH LORD   I feel your pain. We must remember to pick up our feet as we walk around outside in the dark. Bad things happen when we don't.

Pia, you say "we"? You got some experience with that low-flying mud pie too? Or merely expressing joyous empathy? Hell, I told the other half, "Hey, am gonna buy a wheelbarrow; that thing of ya grandpaw's is like worn out, man." "No; it's fine." How does he know? Never uses it. I've bondo-ed that thing together time and time again. So trucking a load of freakin horse manure to garden last fall, the dayum bar on bottom of that "antique" came away from the bolt: called "rotten wood." Holds tire to brace. I was at full steam with horse "stuff" and dang, I've gone over front of bike (motorcycle) but NEVER over a wheel barrow. With quite a bit of horse fecal matter, the entire LOT of it on me. After, after much, much clean up, and bandaging cut on leg, I found the tire, thought be good to keep that, and broke a Louisville slugger on "the relic." Drug it to road to have trash guys carry it off, went to hardware store and bought 2 new metal ones. Hair wet, looked beaten, lady at checkout says, "Ma'am, you're bleeding." I nodded, "Prob'ly." Peace, girl!

More family shots this morning. Filled rest of 1 tray and began another. Just gonna post pics and "discuss" al fin. Got ribs on 3-2-1 while doing this . . . washing hands (no possible pig germ to seedling, ha!), de-helmeting a Mex/Orange manzano, etcetera, etcetera. One peach bhut up with chocolate, one yellow brain, Inca R.Drop, Aji Limon, S. Bonnet Yella happening; no definite signs Choc Hab nor Jamaican HC, no Naga nor 7 Pod yellow: I would not be happy at all without these not popping, so some stuff still "marinating" on heat pads, but not bad for one week (or maybe 2 given baked seeds as possibility). And Ramon, dangit, forgot to flip on that overhead light above these to assist lighting. Oh well. Trini CARDI, Perfume, Mex/Orange Manzano, Carib Reds, added to family photos under lights today. And Anaheim, Giant Marconi. Don't know what gives with Poblano and Pasilla but patience. I WANT 7 Pod Yellow, NAGA Hab Choc and Jamaican HChoc! :mope:

Shot "down the alley way/lookin for a new friend"--Dylan, "Subterranean Homesick Blues" redux. I love Dylan but bet he's too vanilla to like hot stuff. He passed on Baez: "Counsel rests."

Gotta go check them ribs not even gonna be done in time for bassetball game (or slaughter). SKO HEELS! But, again, consolation food or  And am thinking > :mope: than . C'mon Mr. Paige! Play the point, skanky, now! Loose'n drop'm 3's and c'mon PJ! Mista BRICE! Time to game-up--watch that child get hurt, smh. Thanks for lookin'! (No "Lucy57" tales today but day is young.) De cabo a rabo! Annie

Hey Annie!! Great to see your sprouts are popping up nicely for you now after your replanting!! I moved my germ tray under lights last night. My supers are starting to take off too especially the Bhut Red 11/12 sprouts. TS Red a little slow but thats ok. Oh how are your Serrano Tamps? I got 11/12 sprouted too and I see true leaves starting to form as well. It is looking like I could rename this town Tampequinoville as you suggested!! :)

Hope all continues to grow well for you and enjoy those ribs I am sure they will be delish and the game too!! Tar!!!! :)

Mike

Geez that's a ton of babies Annie! Gotta be honest, sometimes your posts are a little hard for me to follow, but that's what makes them a fun read. I have to read them with an accent in my head, then they make perfect sense!!! Pour the light to them babies...and give them a light breeze.

HEELS!

Yeah, got bunches and oodles of Serrano Tampequino . . . glad your supers are germing! You go, Mike and chillren!! Represent!

Damn, makes no sense that a Naga would lag a bhut and Chocolate bhut and Peach B. at that. OR a Moruga Blend & MBlend Yellow. No sense. No sense that they and 7 Pods, would be caboose to Brain as Brain is a kind of 7! Ah! Stubborn seeds but I can wait them out. Oh well. I can't hurry ribs anymore than I can these seeds . . . Peace, Mike.

Always tickled to confuse, ya Shane  j/k. Seriously I was messin w/ the new babies this morning, thinking, "These lovely children and ribs to get ooooooooonn!" I like the accent part; but I could walk up to you, greet you, talk to you, and you'd never know where I was from, if I wanted to: called "code switching" in social linguistics. But in military, you know that. Thank you for service, btw!

Yep got big fan on oscillating and overnight as well. 24/7 lights. So far, no casualties to report. Operative: "so far." Friends here. Gotta jump and explain about postponed pork. Annie

Welp, we had no cheese to go with the whine. But we had these. Which a friend of mine and I decided to tend while another yelled obscenities at t.v.:

Annsfirstbbandspareson225beforedone.jpg

Ribs with Naga blend powder in rub. After 1st spritz with Naga-based sauce. A whole horrible, beatdown half left to go, lol.

Annsfirstbbsandspareson225doneseethebone.jpg

Me thinks the bone speaks: Naga sauce with apple cider, touch of rice vinegar for some neutral tart. Apres stomping. But then we considered that the average age of UMiami players was 28 and our average age of players was 18. As long as we do much, much better in HIS next Wed. night, it'll be awight! Oh, HIS is "Hansbrough Indoor Stadium" for dook's matchbox: for 4 years with Tyler Hansbrough, we swept 'em in their house . . . or thimble. Sorry; no plated shots but we were a kind of depressed bunch: all went to Carolina. Hmm. Some fell off bone, some had a little bite. But really they were good (contrasted with the play of first alma mater.) But . . . Wed. will happen and SKO HEELS! (Do have WSM but I love this rib-staking method. And Naga sauce took nothing away, but added to flavor of pig . . .) Peace, Annie.

Peppers, what peppers … Oye muchacha I wana party with you after that wheelbarrow story and now ribs, hell you one tuff cookie! Killer looking ribs got me hungry again, bet they taste awesome … great job!

OMGGGGGGGGG you and Ramon are killing me with the foodie pics. And you know I am snowed in. I dont even want to talk about what I ate today....ugh

:tear: I sorry, girl. "The Pia Express Rib Iditarod" would be a nice group thing to do for those in more Arctic conditions. Friend of mine who's a dealer at Harrah's, Cherokee, called the other day and said, "Hey, I got day off; why don't I come down and let's take the boat out." I'm confused: it was like 55 degrees here. She says, "We got a foot of snow! Really, let's go fishin.'" Brrrr. I feel for ya, hon. We left Austin in November, nice balmy weather, landed in Manhattan, next morning I walked out in shorts to go for run in CPark. NOT! Dear Gawd . . . Stay warm! (And Ramon's really making me hurt with his culinary expeditions!)

I make YOU hungry? Ramon, I come down there for a month, as active as we both are, I doubt they make clothing sizes that big. :drooling: after ya food porn. I mean, when hungry, ya Initiation Glog is not advised! Of course, we could always "let's active mo" usin' Jamie/Romy6 as Gatah Bait! :D  Gatah ribs son, come se dice en Espana, "de puta madre," lol.

Well, now I've got to have a snack.

+1 on sprout city!

jjj

:welcome: JJJ, and love that pic. Josey Whales X Jesse James! Thanks, man! We're all gonna meet at Ramon's for gator ribs. What would be a convenient time for you? j/k but we gotta get some . . . bait and I know where some iiiiiiiiiiissssss, lol. Stay tuned. Gotta invite Jamie/Romy6 "to dinner."

First off Annie, I'm so glad I just had lunch before coming in for an update. Those ribs look awesome though!

Trippin in the dark for a mouth full of mud, , I think most all of us could tell a story about that. Mine includes the phrase, "With my NVG's (reads as Night Vision Goggles) in place I...."

The babies are looking good. Do you keep them on a steady diet of Dylan though or do you throw in some Neil Young as well?

Have a great week,
Bill

THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY!

There is nothing about this day that I want to discuss prior to going to get mail after last class. Up until 4am evaling essays, up at 6am (because I topped off raised beds yesterday, pretty day, took my time), run, shower, in theory, teach, lewd VD card from a student who thinks I don't know who he is, eh . . . and a dept. staff meeting as cherry on top: ugggh.

But at POffice, I got something(s) wonderful!

Anns2013GlogseedsfromRamonandJamie_zps77c651c5.jpg

On left 7 Pod Brown seeds from Jamie/Romy6 and on right, JA Red or "Rojitas" from Ramon/WalkGood!

Ignored message from colleague who wants me to take his 10:20 Chaucer class for him tomorrow but by the droghte and by the reyn, I wolde not: naw, because am planting these. Thank you, thank you, Jamie and Ramon!

Anns2013GlogRamonandJamieandmy7PodYellowseeds_zpsceacefb3.jpg

Replanting Yellow 7 Pod, as I dug through "dirt" and those seeds had not "moved," no sign of life after 2 weeks, moist, heat mat, nope; redo. New soak, new seeds, (7 Pod Yellow mine), and then pot up some of these afterward. That Orange Thai done hit light with nowhere to go, so . . .

Anns2013GlogJDMandotherpepperseedlings_zpsaab4a077.jpg

Many thanks to the wonderful folks on here! Anybody want to suggest I hold up on pot up until after true leaves on the leggies, just try me, and I'll go along ;) . Much peace and again, thanks! Annie

Nice update, happy to see you starting them up so soon ... hope you enjoy dem as much as we do down south :) and don't forget to take care of da girls :D

Great score on those seeds. Jamie is most generous and so is Ramon... Good going. Nice update. Good to see those babies reaching for the light,. :onfire:

Reached beyond light, Pia. (Or some of them.) They seem too frail (and thick) to pot up, however but stems getting sturdy under fans! I might postpone potting up tomorrow in order not to have varying heights. Hmm . . . Afraid I'll hurt them too!
