i thought i'd share too, that if you have Amazon Prime, there's a Lodge CI 'set' that tempted us for a number of months ...

since we lacked a CI frying pan, this seemed like a really useful pair for braising and since the top and bottom are meant to fit together, they do so perfectly ...

the need to watch calories and the cooler weather has allowed me to return to spicy sesame crystal noodle for lunch at work ... it's bizarre how much i like bean thread noodles ...

meatloaf is joining the turkey breast in the regular routine, made 50/50 (ground turkey/beef) it's pretty healthy on 100 cal fold-its ... celery and cherry hot peppers ftw!

and then, just because it was there to be had, i put away one w/ the chiltepin amarillo (since i grow those myself and love them fresh) ... also good, but my palette was pretty destroyed by this point if I'm being honest ...

I got totally hung up with Hot Pepper Jelly and Brats!

I spent like 4 seconds thinking about that combo, and then it became a part my existence!
I soooo have to make that happen right now.......Okay, maybe tomorrow......but it's so happening! :)

I'm still sprung on the Meatloaf Taco thingy.

Are you happy with the Cuisinart Bot? I keep thinking I want one.
 
It's fast become the most used appliance ... simple to use, simple to clean, and the drop-in 'elements' make it pretty versatile ...

you can run it closed, or open face it and use both sides w/ the griddle plate sides up ...

AND ... w/ the waffle plates in, well, you know ... WAFFLES!
