This jar came from a organic produce stand on my way home from work, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same stuff they sell at Yoder's etc ...

I haven't been to Yoder's for breakfast for a while now that you mention it ... that's good stuff right there!

I'm going to see about making some myself though, I want it HOTTER!

We were considering throwing down, but like others came up short on the spare ribs ...

It's a rare treat to not make a pie at home ... no 550F oven heating up the area where I work and all ... thanks Dominos ...

Besides the Chemex which I hadn't used, I also had a Hario V60 for a couple of years that hadn't been tested ... there's often a gap between when I buy something and when it becomes part of the routine ...

But I am here w/ some news ...

Serious news ... check and see if you have a Jason's Deli ...

Because if you aren't in a metropolis, you might still be able to get a rockin' good pastrami/corned beef sammie if you have a Jason's ...

Seriously, I have a new favorite take-out option for lunch ...

Sorry, there's no poddage here ... I'll rectify that on the next post, having just picked some of the last pods I'll see this winter, I bet ...

I had to get back in there and try the reuben ... it's only 1/2 lb corned beef as opposed to 3/4 lb pastrami/cb ...

I think it's more myself ... a good bit more ...

Maybe it's because it's not been open long ... I've noticed a lot of places either do that to get positive word out, or their staff isn't trained to be miserly yet ...

one or the other, it's seems to be pretty common for newish places to overachieve for a while ...

we've been eating a lot of turkey and a lot of salad and drinking rarely, but coffee has been a bigger deal of late because D's enjoying pour over coffee w/ me now ...

i'm partial to intelligentsia beans, but temple has been coming on of late ...

the hario/buono combo is the way to pour over a pair of mugs of brew ...

we've been adding a little coconut oil to stuff lately, including coffee at times believe it or not ...

the lawn ...

by chemex ...

and tomorrow we'll debut eva solo's cafesolo, which is a very appealing method ...

manual coffee gear is home to some of the nicest design (lines, curves etc) ...

i really <3 coffee. really, really ...

we've been eating pretty healthy, and that just doesn't really garner much of the right kind of attention in these parts, somewhat unfortunately =)

turkey works well for both D and I, and it's portable ... a slicer seemed appropriate ...

scovie's fault - he posted one some time back and i've been thinking about the nicely sliced beef i often buy from the butcher when i want to make a philly etc ...

the turkey works nicely in the 100cal rosemary fold-it's via the bot, i love those things ...

been on a muenster kick ...

still making the meatloaf w/ half turkey, too ... i'm telling you, there's bird in everything these days ... i blame D ...

yes, even in mexican ...

yes, in my mystery wine treated caesar's as well ...

it's turkeypalooza - except in my experimental everything bagel and yellow ghost powder gnocchi ...

which had a bit of powder, really ...

that was pretty good, actually ... i'd repeat that one ...

hi guys!

i've worked so much for so long that at this point if i'm not sitting at the computer doing cad/cam/code, then i'm doing something more like this on the recliner ...

so, i found these ...

and i thought this of them one day - quite good! ... the sauce can shoulder a LOT of heat gracefully, especially because it's sweet ...

mmmmm ... i've had a fair share of that!

also, check out this stuff ...

it's kind of unfortunately expensive - i plan to figure out how to repro at home w/ the pressure cooker - but it's super tasty and super healthy ...

it's 300cal in the whole jar w/ 18g fiber, so it's glycemic index friendly ...

anyways ... hope all's well ...
