yep even my adult plants. The garden beds are situated in all day sun anyway so they need protection. The shadecloth allows the morning sun to come through and protects them in the arvo. They hate the afternoon sun without any protection. I've even overwintered last years plants in a shadecloth tunnel and they are doing great. Only lost about 2 out of 120. They need more sun now, but too many to move and these are ones I sell anyway so wont be there for good.

Speaking of which, talking about my Aji Panca mysteriously dying before, I actually considered that as a possible cause at the time (well, mainly that or bloody curl grubs
).I tell ya, my pots have gotten so hot at times that I haven't even been able to touch the things without oven mitts or a rag or something.
Just out of curiosity, what % shade cloth and what colour (does colour make a difference?) do you guys usually use?
try to use pots that aren't black and make sure you mulch the tops well. You'd prob be better off in making more raised beds Micca

Mmmm more raised garden beds.......good idea. Got a desert out the front yard, maybe a front Chilli patch then when harvest time comes watch the people try and somple some of them!

I can see a repeat of the Man V Food episode on 7mate scheduled at midnight. EPG here lists it as starting at 23:52 this evening. I've scheduled a recording to begin at 23:50 for 50 minutes to have 10 minutes extra either way.
How come everybody likes storms.... they suck and they piss me off!Hoping for a storm later.
Oh crap I hope my plants are OK... Ugh! Now the bloody powers out... FFS! Better get home before this storm hits........
