My first plant to reach bloom this season is the largest of two Locato plants that put on growth through August.

First two Locato flowers to bloom

I managed to save one of the two Limo Blanco seeds I mentioned earlier. The one with something visibly growing on the seed casing didn't make it as I had suspected. I rescued the other one from its seed cap on Friday.

Nice flowers Harry. Send some of that blue sky our way!

Just figured out that my buckets outside are sitting on the ground and the drainage holes I studiously drilled out are probably blocked. I''ll have to set them up on a metal rack or flat surface or they'll drown.

Yes, very nice, harry!

Speaking of purple flowers, my CGN 22794 has started blooming too:

And I even have a pod after only a couple days!

Potted up some Butch T's yesterday, and popped them in the greenhouse outside.

And here's what I've got waiting in the tent in the garage ready to also put in the greenhouse the moment I see roots poking through the holes at the bottom.

Lots of seedlings around other parts of the house, loving this good weather so early in September.

And nice and green and healthy too!

I only get to look after them every weekend too as I travel for work.

The routine is to fill an ice cream tub with rain water, plop the pot in, when the water is seen at the top of the soil line it's time to take it out. Fertilise every 2 weeks, and that's about it.

This way, the missus doesn't have to worry about touching them and it gives me something to do on the weekend ;)

Does that drenching last for a week? Is this what you do for the plants in the tent or outside in the greenhouse?

Yep, drenching lasts the entire week without any problems. And as you can tell, the plants are absolutely fine with minimal watering.

I do this for all of my plants in tents/greenhouses.

I wouldn't say absolutely fine... more like awesome! They look great. Nice n big fat dark green leaves. Well done. I want to see how they turn out at the fruiting stage.

Looks great milk_man.
Is that all down with LEDS? If so, what type are you using? Is your 'greenhouse' just the plastic wrapped 3 or 4 tier type shelving?

Raelacea, sorry to hear about your recent disaster, did you get many survivors? Have any seeds sprouted?

Just had some hail this minute. Blew over pretty quickly though, really windy today. Hope my plants didn't get destroyed.
I hate the wind more than anything. I don't mind wet days, but with windy days you get sun/rain/sun/rain/sun/rain again again and again. Make the weather so changeable it's annoying. Plus also the wind damage. I ran out today to the shop get some kebab skewers to support all my larger seedlings up against the wind.

Yes, I was quite distraught!
I did lose about 30-40 seedlings I think (I didn't want to compound my frustration by adding it up! lol) but am very happy to report that I've had a few hooks out of the lot I feared were "too dry for too long". So that's a plus! At least it's not in the hundreds.

I'm with you on hating the wind man... It tried to beat it up once for messing with my hair... I pulled my shoulder...
:D

I can see a repeat of the Man V Food episode on 7mate scheduled at midnight. EPG here lists it as starting at 23:52 this evening. I've scheduled a recording to begin at 23:50 for 50 minutes to have 10 minutes extra either way.

Nice going. If I had my recorder setup I would tape it as well.

Excellent looking plants there Milkman. Nice and healthy!

I have voted I thought the top candidate would win :)

Candice just thought I would let you know the purple flash seeds have just shown there hooks overnight. Stoked and hopefully the others I put down at the same time are not too far away from coming up either
