  • Why do people freak out if their plants aren't absolutely picture perfect? Nature's got it under control.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. So many times, I check out a "what's the problem with my plant?!?!?" thread and think to myself, "they look fine to me!"... Oh, you mean that little tiny yellow tip? Yank the leaf off if it bothers you. It'll be fine. - Yeah Geonerd.... How did the earth ever survive without us?

Most of the plants I see with said problems look better than mine. Hahaha

    You're welcome!
Just had a tornado pass by at work. Parish alarms were going off. And this being Louisiana, everyone jumped up from the table at our meeting and ran outside with their cameras.....
This year, I'm growing yellow morugas, fataliis, habs, and Thai dragons. I think next year will be the year of the Naga. Only Naga varieties.

It's only boring or dumb if you don't bring your A-game. From a region where everything is worth celebrating, including corn and soybeans, ya gotta make the celebration one to remember... it usually involves beer. And Music. And beer. Did I say beer?

Awesome! That soup is a winner every time! Post up pics in the Ragin' Cajun Cussin' Cook thread.
Anyone else growing plumerias? I have three growing form seed, and my tree has four seed pods on it.

I have two growing. They thrive here in Cali. People cut them and sell at yard sales, just the branch. Poke in ground get another. I like the flowers. Reminds me of Hawaii.

My mom is a plumeria freak. She gave us two slaughter pink ones, and she makes dozens and dozens of cuttings. She uses their entire driveway to grow them. My wife told me we aren't getting rid of the seedlings until we find out what flowers they make. lol
Spotted the first hab pod of the season. Also have a beefy boy tomato and some Meyer's lemons doing their thang... and plenty of flowers following. Yay!!
So just now, the wife and I are sitting on the sofa. She wraps her arm around my neck and pulls me close and sniffs... then quietly says "you smell different when you're awake." I pause, turn and look at her and say "dafuq?!?!?!"

Don't listen to QQ. Can you imagine how expensive it would be to have another one around? Heck, just one wife is enough for me thanks.

Yep that's the one. When most places here in Laffy are charging $5-6 for boiled crawfish, I can only imagine what they'll charge if that passes. Either way, definitely beyond due for me to invest in a burner and pot and do it myself.

Part of me supports it. We all look forward to the sacks with the monster crawdads. The prices might go up a bit, and the season will start a bit later, but I think I'm okay with it as long as I get what I'm paying for. Nothing pisses me off like paying $2.79/lb for a sack of babies.
Putting an 11 lb brisket in the electric tonight for an all night smoke. Should I trim any fat?

Nevermind. Left the fat cap and trimmed a little off the bottom
