  • Just having a family meeting kind of thing because of Connor has been a little suspect about money again.
Sorry, posted to myself in the heat of the homework, here's the last message.
Good point, he likes to come home with little as info as possible. He shouldn't have had tech homework so soon anyway but he said his teacher was in a mood and gave it to them because he was called out of the classroom to talk to the head about his car been broken into and then a kid ran round his desk, knocked off his laptop and as it fell the memory stick with 5 years of kids exam results/homework etc. snapped in half. Con said he's an ex-cop and really strict. I didn't half laugh when I heard this, I'm ashamed to say, TBH I just had the word 'karma' going through my mind. Anyway, Con decided to do clay, plastic, metal/wood, then we came up with ice and sand, you know, just to make his homework a little more interesting for the teacher.

You make me sound like an alien with 'Are you still out there?' LOL
Nope I'm here with a 12 year old with a fuck off attitude trying to do homework. He has to come up with 3 ways of modelling materials and the advantages and disadvantages of each one, easy but not when he's in a strop, yet suddenly he has an idea or two, thank fuck.
Ha ha, I'd never noticed that. How's your day been? I don't think it's been that hot here today, well I suppose the washing dried in an hour. I do get bored now on my day off as usually my only day or two off I'd be out, even just shopping.
There's also a difference between doing the odd thing for enjoyment and having to learn it and take exams. You'd be top of the class. What made you think about doing this?
Well if you went for engineering at least you have a good start as some people are just starting out doing a new subject.
Dr Doelling sounds brilliant! A bit like Dr Dolittle. How much does it cost to start doing degrees?
So you will either further your qualifications in that but how much further can you go? I'm trying to imagine you having a different career.
I've got to get off the PC now as Connor needs it. I'm working tomorrow afternoon but I'll do my best to speak to you if I get chance at work. I'm here all of Thursday though for the first time in a few weeks.
It's the yearly test that a car has to have to say it's fit for the road, I think unless you have a new car then it doesn't need it for two years. I once failed it by having a lightbulb gone, I could have kicked myself for not noticing as garages will charge you so much just for the labour of putting it in when you can do it yourself and get the bulb a lot cheaper.
In the house we don't, shit we still don't have heating. At work we don't have A/C either, I have a desk fan that circulates the hot air.

Hey I've got my car MOT on Friday without a service, I'm praying it won't fail as I need my car the next day and if it fails then by law it's not road worthy.
Well I guess I'm just British and moan about the weather full stop, it's only around 32°. Do you have air con?
Well you could have flown over then, mind you the nearest RAF airfield that I can think of is Chatham and that's marginally better than Dover. I've just finished homework with Connor, I mean we have just finished homework. How warm is it over there lately?
