Do any fellow Australians have spare chilli pods they want to sell. I have run out and need some hot ones. If in Sydney i can pickup or can pay for postage from elsewhere. Need about 1 kg.
So dissappointed to see my chilli plants in the greenhouse have aphids on them and quite a lot. The bloody ants are farming them. Time to take out the garlic and detergent spray. Exams have made me neglect my babies.
So happy with my choc and red hab. Orange has is finally slowing down.
Top is my orange hab which has about 4 pods still waiting to ripen. Once harvested i'd love to prune it and put it in the greenhouse. Just don't know how to prune it. Any ideas what bits should i cut and how much...
Another little harvest.
1. Red habanero - what a bite. I was sad to discover the red hab is my limit in hotness. Great taste.
2. Orange habs - love these babies.
3. Peach hab - useless. Tastes like citrusy capsicum.
4. Pervuvian white - not sure if i picked these too early. I assume they...
Thanks for the referral Mezo.

Thansk for the advice guys. I am in Sydney and liek someone mentioned above we don't get very cold winters and frost. Overwintering for me was to move the plants under the greenhouse i got. They've stopped flowering now so only a few pods ripening aways. Some still have few flowers on them. Once...
I have all my plants in 20cm pots. And the plants are placed on soil. Today i moved the pots and noticed the plants have roots coming out of them and some have gone into the soil underneath. Is it time to repot or can i just trim the roots. It's officially Autumn in Sydney now and i was actually...
We don't get frost here but summer is officially over. It's still hot though on some days and other days it's rainy and cold. My partner loves greenchillies and gets a bad gastric problem when eating red ones. I am also saving the green chillies to make a green chilli marinade.
Had my sorta first harvest. I have been picking off a few pods but this is what i got today.
From left is Thai Chilli. I like it. It's flesy and slightly hot but hot. Then is the inferno. Very nice smell and hot too. The next 3 lots are all red cayenne. The first lot of red ones are from my...
I am doing a bbq fish today. Got a 2kg snapper and will be doing it whole. Any ideas on marinade using my 3 orange habs and a few other smaller wilder chillis.
Also looking for ideas on sides. I am making a cold potatoe salad with chives. But need something more on the side.
