List of beers I bought in the last week since I have been in chicago

The Barrel Aged Shipwreck Porter is PHENOMENAL. I have had Night Tripper, good, but nothing crazy, Gnarleywine is also pretty solid.

I'm jealous of your haul!

Just had 2 20z glasses of Victory Storm King imperial stout straight from the cask!

Incredible! No way you would guess it's over 5% alcohol!

the old dude brought home made brandy from Washington

Had the Hoppin Frog BORIS a few months ago. Very good stuff.

Been drinking Great Lakes Conway's Irish Ale all month long. Well apart from the hooneybrown and coors light for the Super Bowl. Cheap beer for company.

There are 2 boris's

ones the Crusher, which is the regular imperial stout, the other is the one I posted, which is their double oatmeal stout

As this is my first brew from this brew house and it having been highly recomended to me, I have really been looking forward to trying it. Tonight I'm having a Lagunitas Olde Gnarly Wine Limited Reserve Two - 'Aught - 11. The label says 10.6 ABV and IBU of 69.39. The first sniff of this brew was a wonderfully floweral bouquet which gave away the wonder ful Hop flaver it has. They have done a great job of blancing the hoppiness with the bitterness. It is very flavorful without being biting or over the wall on hops. I would highly recommend it to any Hop Head or beer drinker that doesn't believe that Budwiser is the end all brew.

As "The Man" says, "Stay thirsty my friends!"

So I stopped by ABC on my way home tonight and there amoung the 22 oz singles was a 2010 Chimay Peres Trappistes Grande Reserve Ale. 9% ABV and $12.95

This is actually my first beer where teh bottle was corked Belgian style and not capped. It poured with a very nice thick creamy head which lasted a good solid minute. Great mild hop and malt aroma. Not overly bitter and not sweet but well balanced. This beer would go well with what ever was being served at the table. It is flavorable enough to hold it's own with a great steak and yet not so strong as to over power some grilled chicken or fish.

This is absolutly worth picking up and trying if you see one. Thank you Father Theodore, keeper of the Yeast at Scourmont Abbry. Prost!

Ok, so it's a 2 beer night and here's the second one for the evening. It's one of my go to beers. Y'all know it and I'm sure y'all love it too.

I love Southern Tier Creme Brule Stout for dessert too. Also have an Iniquity just waiting for a Steak on Friday but this is Breakfast and I'm having breakfast for dinner right now.

I also have a Lagunitas Whiskey Tango Foxtrot getting cold in the fridge for tomorrow night. Funny, I used to call up the FDC (Fire Direction Center) all the time when I was on active duty asking Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

got a case of Sam Smiths Yorkshire Stingo at my house from 2008

stuff is awesome

Ummm... you HAD a case of this. Norm, Sheetz, and I broke in and drank all your beer. We distracted your dad with a leg of lamb and he didn't bother us all night.
