I went to a beer sampling at a friends house last night. Someone brought that and it was sent up here from beermail friends in texas I was told.  I'm guessing it's one of those beers that if it does make it's way into the store people scoop it up asap.

feel free to send me some anytime   :D

cheers

Sure thing, when it comes around I'll be buying some...

Like three floyds zombie dust. Gone within minutes of hitting the shelf. Most place have a six pack per person limit on it. Never seen it in a store even on delivery day.

I've been watching your fridge collection grow, and I think it's time to get back on the bike, brah ;) ...

Zombie Dust Clone

This is the clone John designed for Zombie Dust.  It is nearly spot on.   Attenuation and proper fermentation are important with this recipe.  It will fade fast if you do not do appropriate water adjustments.   You might consider some gypsum in the boil to make the flavors pop.   This should be consumed fresh.  2-6 weeks after bottling it will peak.   If you keg, you can extend the life of the beer for a while, but like all great IPAs and pale ales it will fade with time.

Zombie Dust Clone.

You can do this.

I had planned to surprise D3 with some homebrewed Zombie Dust and gumballhead - as both are simple recipes ...

I wasn't all that excited about an all-Citra beer, as the only ALL-Citra beer I've liked is the Citra Dog one from the people that make the Leg Humper beer ...

I trust the source more highly than usual for that one ...

It's from a homebrew club that's brewed it a half-dozen times or so, if I recall ...

Which is not to say that I think brewing it will result in Zombie Dust ...

Same thing with Gumballhead, though ...

Pretty simple all-amarillo beer with pils and wheat, I think, right? ...

Homebrewing it seems to make an enjoyable amarillo beer, but not quite or necessarily Gbh ...

I've had two from them that were good ...

They were one of the one's in a holiday box o' beer from my fam out in Boulder ...

Upslope was breath of fresh air for me. Stands out in a crowded IPA scene..

all the  gumball head recipes call for  all amarillo but I remember reading that there's actually several hops in gumball head.

Enjoying a Founders Dirty bastard before work. Wifey whipping up some biscuits and gravy, fried eggs and bacon. Going to be a fat happy bastard before heading out and doing another 16 hr shift.

I've been thinking about doing another home brew but there's a few investments I need to make prior that I can't currently afford. I need a good brew kettle. Only thing I got right now is that tamale pot and that ruined my first attempt.

Nah ... aluminum is fine for brewing, just not fermenting in ...

We just need to clean and passivate the aluminum and you're good to go ...

BUMP your thread so it comes back up, and let's do this ;)

I can actually send you that beer, ready to go ...

I have a shit-ton of Citra and plenty of US-05, and I have some small packets of sanitizer ...

I have to see if I have any two-row, though ...

I usually just use M.O. for anything with two-row, if only because I like a malty backbone 9 times out of 10 ...

I tried that, still had that funky taste. I'm sure my brew got contaminated at some point too but I can find a 5 gal SS pot for less than $50 i'm sure. I'll start sourcing the side items and I can go from there. Disposable income is few and far between so it will take me a little bit to scrounge the items I need. I do have a local buddy who brews. He may have some old equipment he doesn't use he can gift.

I might have some of the stuff, extra ...

I got a good look at everything yesterday ...

I picked up a thick-walled, SS, tri-ply, heavy-bottomed, induction-ready, 10 gal pot - with a lid - for $45 via Prime ...

imgur being a pain today. Took forever to get it to load

My new favorite Mexican item ... nice!

local grocery store has some thin sliced beef for $5 lb. Not sure the cut but it's tender enough. I've used it several times now, this time for the tostada meat. I got another lb in the freezer. Will probably start using it for my philly cheese steaks too as it's a lot cheaper than the flank steak.
