Bodeen's 2013 Grow _-_ Love at First Sting

Not actually starting this yet. Just trying to get my thoughts together on what and how many I will be planting of everything. There is the possibility that there will be no cows here next year and the pastures will be made into corn fields. This would mean the barn lot will be free and empty. It grows some of the best grass on the farm and the barn does have a well and a pump already there. Could it be garden number 3??? Also contemplating enlarging the back garden again.

In this pic...the one to the far right looks to be a double pod. Just wondering?

I thought you were talking about the harvest shot.  I will have to go check in the garden tomorrow.  Still have two rows of sweet peppers to finish weeding....my back didn't agree with my work efforts today lol.

And I bet you thought I was joking about that Chilhuacle pepper and mole sauce LOL

Went with the yellow Habanero in my omelet this morning.  Just a light fruity taste and no after taste.  None of the typical hab taste.

The heat was very light, but it built as I ate it.  Ended with a little throat tingle, but nothing that was hot.  I was expecting a little more heat from this pod than I got.

Congo Black will be the next omelet I go with.

Well it seems you're getting regular pulls now, and that's pretty cool!
So how does the Not Butch T taste?

Cool double pod there...

I didn't try any of them yet.  I will have one of the next ones that get ripe.  I am kind of in a position of too many peppers to try and not wanting to eat 6 omelets a day lol.

Last night it hit 49 degrees....I don't need any weather like that yet.

I keep looking at them and they sure look like a Butch T, but I have never seen a yellow one or heard of them being yellow.  Nice pods though.

Nice "rabbit eared" pod.

The Butch T (Not)..........looks just like a yellow scorpion. Those are nowhere as hot as the red, but it does have a mildier fruity taste.
I'd sliver one of those up and toss the pieces into a bowl of warmed up plain ole kettle potato chips.........cold beer, of course....

Can't wait to try one when the next one gets ripe.  If the next one gets ripe.  48 degrees here this morning.  I wonder if this means we will have an extended Indian Summer.  That would be nice.

Third nest I have found.  This one was by my compost pile and was the first one I have eradicated.  The one where I was cutting firewood I haven't pinned down the exact location, but they nailed me twice.  The other nest I was standing right next to while squirrel hunting this morning.  Guess I should be happy with the 48 degrees this morning lol.  The hurt like a SOB

Canning more tomatoes this weekend too.

Had to take a pic of the salad before I put the grilled chicken breast on it.  Normally I don't do green peppers, but my Patio Red plant was so loaded it broke down.  I pulled it from the garden and saved the 15 biggest pods off of the plant.  Even green this pepper has an awesome flavor.  I guess it will make a return to the garden and I will have to pinch all the early blooms so it can sturdy up.

Found this cute little bugger hanging this evening.

Great looking pods and that powder is WOWZA!!  Just a TAD more brown and one could mistake it for a lite cocoa powder!

It has a nice aroma to it, but it isn't blistering hot.  A cayenne isn't a scorcher anyway.  Thinking about making some over easy eggs tomorrow and sprinkling some on it to get a sampling of the overall taste of this powder.

I am right in thinking lower heat preserves color and pepper heat correct?

All you powder makers out there.  Should I mix all my chocolate supers into one big chocolate super mix, or should I keep em separate?
