Getting something off my chest.

With only a couple of exceptions (ac/dc) music in the 80's was as horrible as the clothing that was worn -- I cant even look back at old pics without asphyxiating on my on vomit -- aaaaaggggghhhhh

Im with you on this on Cheezy -- we gotta be about the same age

No offense, LD but IMO ac/dc was some of the worst crap made in the 80's(and even now IMO)....but then again i did grow up then listening to punk, hardcore, metal, and(get this) nuwave, so what do you expect?
 
It was in the early 90's when I was dating this Swedish/African babe ( damn near Halle Berry Twin ) that my musical tastes changed from your basic rock to jazz. She turned me on to a group " The Rippingtons" and music in my life went in a totally new direction. Damn good sack time too.

This is a remake but dig the sax................. SAX RB NOT SEX

Dude, The Rippingtons are awesome. I've seen them twice already.
 
Morning Sick, I've seen them a couple times myself, once at Artscape downtown, slipped an usher 40 bucs and got front row seats. Incredible talent however there last album was horrible.

Morning to you too, sir. Yeah IMO Black Diamond was their last excellent album to me.

Yeah the first album I got turned on to was Kilamanjero , loved the Backstabbers remake, another fav was Tourist in Paradise and Sahara. It is definitely a classy sound and from there I started to take in Classical, not that elevator crap, the concertos and symphonies

ok, i'll give you the last three(especially Naplam Death - i really loved those guys) but the first two sucked....even back then IMO
 
I was giving them their props didnt care for them in the 80's but over all I liked them it was just the worst music in my opinion -- and my wife loves it and will jam it --- ugh

Repulsion was way ahead of their time, and they do not suck.

Yeah even in liking that type of music likes and dislikes will differ from time to time.
