off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

good morning all :)
 
 
Catherine those large red peppers were called 'Aji Dulce Pimento' (they are an annuum so i guess in this case aji just means pepper)
They take forever to ripen, i will probably replace them with 'red Sweet Footlong' in next years grow as i seem to remember them ripening sooner up here

Good morning everyone. Scramble, scramble day to get a few plants covered and some peppers moved to a small area surrounded with heavy plastic. The hard freeze will soon be here and we will be in Steamboat, CO with a friend for 4 days.

Good morning everyone. ♥ The enjoy your adventures comment from Sic. We are in a motel along with the noisy hunters, getting ready for elk season. Need I say more? We are in the town of Meeker, and plan on checking out the town and museum. The drive up here was gorgeous, with varying weather from snowstorm to wind and cold.

Hope your day fares as well. It sounds like Harry is on his way home, hopefully the storm dodged him. Our low was 12*F.

Good morning everyone. We are back home safely, with our adventures behind us for the moment. The deck was filled with snow on our return, but everywhere else looked dry. Shorter than planned trip, but duty called.

New bike yet, Sic? How is your garden going?

well, it's official the outdoor season is over here...
We have had light snow, and frosty nights the last couple days.
 I harvested everything even if it was still green.
in previous years some ripened up just fine sitting on the table here inside, and some got used to experiment with pickled pepper rings while green.
anyway here is the final 2019 harvest @ the G.I.P. House;

plenty of processing to do over the next few days.
lots of green Serranos  :neutral:  will be experimenting with verde sauces a lot i guess, and pickling some Rings.

Nice harvest G.I.P. Catherine the peppers did good this year and yesterday I bought the bike. Have to get it all dialed in and get use to it. It's a time trial bike so there is a very small learning curve but it felt great the little I rode it yesterday. Bike ride with the wife then we are going to chill. Have a wonderful day, be good and good morning.
 
Good morning everyone. Beautiful peppers, GIP. The weather is semi-back to normal, but I need to clean up all the garden and plant garlic next week. Then it will be time to think about 2020. Who am I kidding, I think about it all the time.

currently 37F / 3C here at quarter after 7am
supposed to get up to 50 / 10 this afternoon
 
tamales and eggs with leftover rice and beans and tortillas for breakfast this mornin'
and thinking about making soup for this afternoon - evening
going to be;
cutting up , dehydrating, vac seal and freezing, peppers
today again anyway, might as well make some soup too while i'm in the kitchen half the day  :drooling:

Good morning everyone. I guess they call this week Indian Summer - the warm between storms - as snow is predicted this weekend. Its a good few days to get the gardens cleared up and leaves tilled in before planting garlic. My beautiful autumn purple ash tree never got purple, the leaves just froze and turned ugly.

Time for oatmeal. I hope your day goes well. Accomplish something great and be proud.
