off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning.  Yep ... we need to get through this panic as soon as we can.  This is unbelievable.  We live in the rural middle of the country.  There's rumors out there regarding a lock-down even here.  Bright sunny 25 out there this morning.  Should be around 45 later on.  Decided we're not going anywhere for the forseeable future.  We'll pot up more seedlings including tomatoes today.  Might sit in the hot tub and then play some board games later on.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. Sunny and cold, with the snow still insulating the ground. We've been purging old receipts that should have been done years ago, but they are out-of-sight in the basement so we forget about them. No more seed planting until April.

Since our trip has been cancelled, we might just take a few road trips for a week or so, maybe one a month. For now we’ll just stay close to home and enjoy what we have.

Have a wonderful day with those closest to you. Stay healthy and keep family close. S.M.I.L.E. - thanks to GIP.

(quote from GIP - “real maple syrup . . .”). Is there anything better? We are lucky to have only the real Vt. Maple syrup since my brother still lives there.

Speaking of maple syrup, I lived above a sugar shack for a year many moons ago. But that's a whole nother story. Bike ride with the wife today and have to go to f'ing Walmart to pick up her scripts, ugh! Also working in the nursery and garden. Have a wonderful day, bless up and good morning.

Good morning everyone. Hubby went to Costco and got a rotisserie chicken, so I’m making more dump soup. I gave most of it away this past week to friends/family. It’s a good way to help clean out the freezer.

WalMart? Haven’t been there in months. I usually get birdseed there, check out the clearance for garden stuff, and find really good jalapeños there when I need 6 lbs. for Cowboy Candy.

It’s like we’re on vacation with nowhere to go, nothing new to see. This too shall pass. Have an enjoyable day with family,.

Good morning.  Working in the home office.  Busy day ahead of me with lots of video calls and teleconferences on the schedule.  Mandatory shelter in place orders have been issued in the counties to the north of me (both sides of the KS/MO state line).  The world has lost its mind.  We put together food boxes and care packages for the kids.  Both live in counties that have the shelter in place orders. I'd like to get a walk in this evening too.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning all :)

35/1 here with a forecast high this afternoon of 47/8 supposed to get more rain/drizzle off and on for next 3 days. It snowed a little bit on Saturday, but was all melted by the end of Sunday

we've been making soups and sharing half each batch with the in-laws; MN wild rice soup, Broccoli Cheese soup, next up will be Great White Northern Bean with Ham soup.

got a couple more doggos going home later this afternoon, then it's just the long term stays left.

not much else going on, thinking about using up some of our frozen fruits and making some jams and jellies while clearing freezer space at the same time.

hope you all had a wonderful weekend and have a wonderful week

S.M.I.L.E. :D  and be excellent to one another

<----- SICMAN dreamin of his next opportunity to race :)

Good morning everyone. GIP - loved the Sic picture! I bet he’s busy with fixing his bikes, getting ready for the next race.

Snow on the lawn, mud in the garden, just waiting. It’s been so quiet. Have an enjoyable day and stay busy. This too shall pass - just not as quickly as we’d like.

Yes, GIP - make some delicious jam.

Good morning.  Big time busy work schedule today.  This working from home is wearing me out!  Got the Zero Turn serviced and ready to go.  Got problems with one of my trucks and I need to work on that.  Also, fighting off the attack of the fungus gnats in the grow room.  Other than that we're sheltering in place and living the dream.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. Sunny for now, looking for more moisture on the already saturated lawns in a few days. We went to Costco Business yesterday with a couple of friends. They had no TP, no sanitizer, little meat, no Kleenex, and very few customers. One of the workers said it was packed with people on the weekend. They did have tons of bottled water!

Fungus gnat and aphids. I’ve had bouts with them too often and found for me, the best thing was to leave the new potting soil outside where it will freeze for a week, hopefully killing any eggs. Best of luck getting rid of them - yellow stickies are a help, not a cure.

Another day in paradise, just learning how to keep the distance. I hope you are staying healthy and sane.

Good morning.  My work schedule doesn't look bad today. I find that my working from home productivity is much more than when I'm in the office.  I guess I have less distractions.  I bet for some people the working from home gig is far worse though.  We've got bunch of deliveries coming to the house today and some of it's heavy.  With my light schedule I'll be able work on some of that.  My pepper plants are getting too large.  I'm hoping for an early warm up this year and maybe I can get them in the ground a little sooner than normal.   It's 44 on its way to 71.  It should be a nice day.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. We made a double batch of small loaves of banana bread plus a huge Shepherd’s pie casserole, which should last a couple of days. The chicken vegetable soup is in the freezer - 22 containers in case someone needs them. Maybe I’ll make some jalapeño jam later this week. This stay-at-home order is . . . . . Not for me.

I hope your day goes well with lots of stuff to work on. I don’t think our leaders understand the gravity of this situation.
Enjoy your day the best you can, stay healthy and follow their rules.

Good morning.  Yes it is stupid.  We're country folk so it's not much different than our normal life other than I'm here at the house all day during the week.  Our county issued their stay at home order effective yesterday through 23 April.  No traffic on our gravel road anymore.  Just a few dogs, ATVs and delivery trucks.  It's tough on my wife because she can't see the grand kids in person and she can't go to see her Mom in the assisted living facility.

We planted our potatoes yesterday. We had enough for 200 sq. ft.   Looks like I may have to mow soon :banghead: .

At least the WX is nice.  It's 55 on its way to 75. Gonna try to get in another walk today and grill something this evening.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. Like Harry, we got the official order to stay at home yesterday. We've had so many callers to make sure we are OK. With the nice weather today, I’m going to weed, deadhead perennials that have sprouted - just something outside.

I hope your day stays sane. Enjoy the day and follow their rules. This too shall pass.
