off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning.  Spent yesterday morning in the ER with a chest pain issue ..... then in bed the rest of the day.  Turned out be some severe chest cavity inflammation.  Very painful.  Most likely caused by heavy lifting.  I guess I've been over doing it.  Good to know everything else checked out normal.

Got more peppers and tomatoes to pot and there's always work to do in the garden.  It's a little rainy this morning but the temp should get up to 70.  Hopeful to grill this evening.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning.  Yesterday we potted up all the rest of the tomato and pepper seedlings.  I've only got 1 tray of pepper seedlings left but they're too small to repot.  I'm still trying to germinate one jalapeno variety that's being very stubborn this year.  Soon we'll start tomatillo, okra, egg plant and mexican sour gherkin.

It's 45 on its way to 66.  Going to have to mow in the couple of days.  The yard looks pretty ragged.  Got a bumper crop of wild onions out there.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. Sunny, muddy garden, cooler temps. Re-potted a few pepper stragglers, more later today. The garlic is looking good, found a few leftovers from last year growing in the irises. More projects to do, stuff to donate, yada yada.

I hope your day goes well and is productive. Stay healthy, stay at home. Just waiting for local nurseries to open.

good morning all :)

31F/0C here this morning, supposed to get up to 56/13 this afternoon
got a little more snow and then rain over the weekend, grass is starting to green up, but it's still to muddy to do any yardwork

nothing on the agenda for the day again.
we have no reservations until mid April, and they'll probably cancel too

hope y'all are staying safe and healthy

Good morning everyone. Spring weather with probable rain in the mix. I hope to visit the community garden and check out the weed population. A friend has asked my opinion on how to re-do his tiny back yard. Lots of the area is unusable because of the slope so I only have a few ideas. It gets me out of the house.

Have a productive day. Stay healthy and safe. This too shall pass.

Got a lot done in the nursery yesterday, all weeds in shade house are gone and about 30 over winters transplanted into 15 gallon containers. Still need another yard of dirt. Kinda curious about what your friends back yard looks like Catherine. I've done a couple yard builds over the last 30 years. Bike ride this morning then probably watching concerts with the wife. Only good thing about all of this is the wife and I have been on another honeymoon for the last few days. Have a wonderful day and good morning.

Good morning.  Mowed for the 1st time this year.  So did my closest neighbors.   It took 2.75 hours (not bad).  Now I've got to trim.  While I was riding around mowing, I was watching, and I have never seen so many people out and about in my "neighborhood".  Very few of the "normal" vehicles (trucks and SUVs) but 6 ATVs, 2 dirt bikes, 4 people on horseback, large groups of people walking the gravel road and multiple joggers.  It was strange.

Anyway, I've got 250+ pepper plants and 40+ tomato plants going in the basement that are keeping me busy.  Going to plant lettuce, radishes, carrots, spinach and beets outside this week.  Indoors I'm going to start tomatillo, okra, egg plant, and mexican sour gherkin.  My wife has convinced me to start some zucchini (bring on the squash bugs). My troublesome jalapeno seeds finally germinated too.

It's 50 on its way to 65.  Schedule is about normal.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. March is going out like a lamb here, with the rain staying north of us. It was too windy to visit the friend's backyard yesterday, so we’ll try today. Sic, I’ll let you know about the yard, but I know he has a nice deck that he built. You are more than welcome to check it out - just remember he's cheeeep!

I’m getting ready to plant tomatoes tomorrow. I am so ready for real tomatoes. They have cancelled our plant swap in May. Bummer.

I hope your day is keeping you busy and productive. Just like retirement. Have a wonderful day.

Good morning.  Beautiful WX for this time of year in this part of the country.  It's 47 on it's way to 72.  Went for a walk last evening.  Lots of people out and about.  I've never seen it like this in the 21 years we've lived out here.  Today's work schedule looks kind of light.  Going to try to knock off early and maybe go fishing.  Morel mushroom hunting time is coming up too!  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. Windy yesterday but I went to the CG for some weeding. Someone neatly dumped 17 bags of yard debris into the garden that need to be put into the dumpster. I helped fling a few bags over the fence, but need to return with help. The garlic look great and I’m waiting for onion sets to arrive. The joys of Community Gardening.

Happy April Fool's Day. Stay healthy at home. My friend just called - her son is now quarantined.  Guess I’ll stay away for now.

Have an enjoyable day.
