off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers  :)
I've spent most of the last couple days in bed  :mope:
but getting a little better each day
I should get out into the garden today if only just to get some sunlight and fresh air  :)
The other morning I saw that the local family of Deer has two young bucks this year

prayers go out to John.

currently 49F/9C and on it's way to 64/18 this afternoon
supposed to rain Monday and Tuesday

not sure what's on the agenda for the day, gotta ask the Mrs. when she gets up.

Was thinking about popping open one of the 3 week home ferment sauerkraut, and seeing if it's ready for aging in the fridge, or ready to serve some with some kielbasas, and potatoes, this afternoon  :drooling:

Hope everyone is doin better than I am..
stay safe, be awesome, S.M.I.L.E.  :D
& wash your hands !

Good morning.  It's 55 on its way to 62.  Severe T Storms in the forecast starting mid morning.  Went fishing yesterday afternoon and caught an assortment of crappie, red ears and bluegills.  Looked like Memorial Day weekend at the lake.  Stopped in the little country town to the North of me (population 250) to get some bait and they had a food truck in the parking lot.  Must have been 100 people there; milling around, no social distancing, no masks .... I guess they're making their own rules now.  Light meeting schedule today but the meetings I do have will be tough ones.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning. Good to see GIP here, glad you’re slowly on the mend. We’re still thinking of you. Lots of clean up at home, now to tackle the shed. It’s not large enough for all of my stuff - but at least I’m prepared if an emergency arises. More work in the CG this AM planned, like raking and putting up a cucumber fence. We’re way early for having this done.

Harry, do you bury the fish heads in your garden area?

I hope your day is great and that you stay safe and healthy. Remember the medical crews.

Good morning.  No roly poly fish heads buried in the garden.  We used to do it along time ago but we had critters tear up the garden to get at them so we stopped.  It's 53 on its way 69.  Cloudy and breezy.  Light meeting schedule today.  Not much else going on.  This evening we're having green chile pork for cinco de mayo and beers.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning.  It's 48 on its way to 64.  It looks like it's going to get much cooler (below normal) for the next week with lows in the 30s.  Not good for my plant out plans.  Moderate meeting schedule today.  I am very concerned that things out here in the rural middle will get stranger too. Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. Sunny day for outside work. I planted a few rows of beets/carrots at the CG yesterday, early for me. Had to haul my own water as they’re not turning it on until Monday. Lots of other chores at home. The rhubarb is making up for our lost peaches - time to pick some for strawberry rhubarb pies and jam.

Glad to see GIP here, feeling better every day. Guys - how are things getting stranger? The virus effects? I’m waiting for news w/out comments on the virus. Anyway - hope you all have a great, healthy day. Stay safe.

People are starting to divide and attack the other, mask or non mask. There have been several assaults to each group. More people are seeking medication for anxiety and sheltering themselves in a unhealthy way. I dont see us every being able to go to a concert or sporting event again. Lots of businesses will be going out of business. We will order everything and have it delivered. That's just the start of my delusion Catherine glad G.I.P.is feeling better. Walk, easy ride and taking the van to finish the audio. Need to call my Mom and a couple small chores. Have a great day and good morning.

Good morning.  Just a few of my myopic thoughts .... I'm concerned that out here in rural America, our residents are taking matters into their own hands in defiance of any guidelines, orders, phases that are issued from glass towers. I see it already. The small business in the small town is now on a ventilator and people will be forced to take drastic measures. The country is more divisive than ever.  If the pandemic doesn't get ya the stupid might.  Now it's meat hoarding.
It's 42 on its way to 60.  Cooler WX is on its way with highs in the high 50s-low 60s and lows in the 30s!  Moderate meeting schedule today.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. We got lots of outdoor work done yesterday, both at home and the CG, but much more to do at home. I have 2 “projects” to clean out areas I’ve been ignoring in the garden at home, then cover/mulch and let it be fallow for at least a year.

I’m concerned about the many small business/restaurant owners that depend on the public for their livelihood. We try to frequent 2 of them for takeout, but I know it’s not enough. We are lucky to live in suburbia where we have many choices of stores/restaurants to choose from when normalcy returns. A good friend lives in rural CO and has to drive 60 miles each way for products/food right now as they have no other sustainable food. We gardeners are so lucky to be able to grow for ourselves and others. I already have 4 families asking for food from the CG. This year I’m hoping to grow a bit more for them. Kind of like a CSA, only free.

Off my soapbox and back to reality. Victory gardens. A more simpler summer with no travel. I hope you have a wonderful day and that you all stay safe and healthy.

good morning all :)

hope everyone is healthy and well.

I'm still hurtin and movin at a sloths pace :unamused:
but my lungs are getting more cleared up and a little stronger each day,
so hopefully i won't be so weak/easily winded/near zero endurance much longer,
this nerve pain has got me even more dependent on the wife for help
Mrs. GIP is amazing,  don't know what i would do without her :)

it's a chilly 35F/2C this morning here, supposed to get up to 49/9 this afternoon, then rain all weekend

simple Oatmeal breakfast this morning, then back to bed for more rest.
maybe transplant a few more clones this afternoon if i'm feeling up to it.

hope you all are feeling much better than I, and staying healthy

be excellent, be awesome, be You :D

Good morning everyone. Glad to see GIP and know he is on the mend, though slowly, and that Mrs. GIP is a trooper.

Temps got down to freezing last night, I’ll be waiting another 2+ weeks before thinking about planting outside.

thanks for the thoughts/prayers for my friend's son, John. He came home but still has 10 more days of quarantine. Today starts a lesser form of quarantine- whatever that is. More stores will be open so I hope things don’t go crazy and people will think before they break rules. Have a great day and like Ben Franklin said - be healthy, wealthy, and wise.

Good morning.  Got an early start on the chores and just sat down to get online.  It's 48 on its way to 58.  Very windy.  GIP .... Good to hear you're on the mend.  Heading out in a bit to pick up some grocery stuff and then over to the liquor store for supplies.  One of my kids supposedly has car issues this morning.  We'll see how that turns out.  Not much else happening.  Be safe and be good.
