off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

'Morning.

Been a while. It's currently 36°F (2°C) with a high of 50°F (10°C).

I was away because I strained my right pectoral muscle three weeks ago, and took up to now to be able to use my right arm without extreme pain. Still sore, but I'm tired of waiting for it to heal.

I'm thinking of going downtown today, and do a little shopping at our City Market.

***EDIT***
I think I'll stay in and go next weekend. It might be too cold for other people to be there.

Good morning. It's sunny and 64F, on its way to 68F. Heavy rains, thunderstorms and damaging wind forecast for this afternoon. Did some tree pruning and briar clearing around the property yesterday. Need to get a few things done this morning, then run over to see Mom. Yesterday was not such a good day for her. Hopefully she'll feel better today. Hope the rain holds off for a bit. Hope everybody has a super Saturday. Be safe out there.

EDIT: Forgot to answer your question @catherinew. I'll plant around 65 peppers this year - about 75 under lights right now. Tomatoes - I'll plant 36 or so, with around 42 currently under lights.

Happy Birthday Sic!!!!!

Good morning.

Happy Birthday, Jason!!!! Hope your day shreds and your night rocks!

Downriver, hope mom is doing better today.

Have tons to do today. Need to unload 3 yards of compost. Stupid rain is keeping everything muddy. Need the rain though. I have a greenhouse to work on. I’ve got a portable storage shed metal frame, that’s 4x8 and 6ft tall. 7ft at the peak. It’s only a little one put will do for hardening off and some late fall favorites. I’ll make it so it’s portable easy take down and install. Need to build another Hoophouse.

Have some pot ups to do. About 60 plants today. Have some Peas to plant as well. Need to till a spot for a ground garden. Local community garden never got back to me, so I’m planting at home alone. I really wanted a plot at the CG. I would really enjoy socializing with other gardeners. That’s the reason I’m part of this community.

I purchased another WSM. 18.5
That number 4. I have 3, 22.5’s and the 18.5 now. I also have an Oklahoma Joe that’s tricked out. Reconditioning a Weber 22.5 Performer. I need to get rid of a couple smokers. Don’t need them all. Don’t cook a ton of food anymore.

My son did great at the meet yesterday. This morning he was grumpy and tired. Decided to get a smart tone with dad at breakfast. It was great !!! The kitchen got cleaned and he is working in the garage as I type and drink coffee. The garage is looking good! I wish he would mouth off more. My list would be done in no time. LOL! He’s really a great kid. He isn’t disrespectful very often. Once in a blue moon. I’ll take what I can get. 😂

Have a great day and enjoy whatever comes your way. Oh, and don’t forget to have some gratitude along the way.

Chuck

Morning all,

Happy birthday @sicman! Hope you're having or had a great day!

It stopped raining finally. (Maybe some of it drifted your way @catherinew?)

With a whopping 11°C (51°F) you can bet your ass I'm spending fhe day outside. Sunscreen here I come. 😎

I'll prep for the coming week. Need to work a few days, but then I'll drive to Mr. Ratat and the kids. It's a school holiday, so we're spending a few days in a cabin in the woods.

Dinner will be a green Thai curry. (I might have gone overboard on the carries with grocery shopping for this week.)

Have a lovely Sunday and beware of Monday.

Morning all - Sunday is here, make the most of it, tomorrow's Monday.
We have rain, wind, thunderstorms and sun - 4 seasons in one day, hopefully it'll snow as well
It is St George's Day and Mr Tink's b/day. So I shall be cooking his favourite lunch, roast chicken with all the trimmings and a chocolate orange brownie for pud.
And that's it for today.
Have a good Sunday, keep calm, cool, dry and smile :D

Good morning. Under a freeze warning. It's 28F (-2C) on its way to a cool 58F (14C). I'm glad we brought all of my wife's plants inside. This should probably be our last freeze (and it's right around the historical normal). We are headed into a stretch of cooler WX. The forecast shows us not reaching the 70s until May 2nd. We are 2 weeks from targeted plant out and will start hardening later this week.
Not much going on today. I'm watching some futbol then I've got some office work to do. I'll make it outside later this morning. Grilling fish this evening. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. 24-54F and sunny, just not warm. Looking at the forecasted temps, the lows stay at or near freezing for the next 10days. Bummer. At least the plants are growing slowly so they can catch up when I plant in 4-5 weeks.
Thanks for the rain, Ratat. We’ll get more this coming week.
Nothing much going on today, just enjoy the sun and wait for a real Spring.
Have a wonderful day. Be blessed with all you do.

Good morning. It's cloudy and 43F, on its way to 60F. No sun forecast for today. Replaced one of the toilets at BIL's yesterday. Need to do the other one, but my back says not today. Need to water and feed the plants, then off to see Mom. Not much progress for her the last two days. Maybe today will be a good one. Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. Chuck, congrats on your son's achievements, both on the track and around the house lol. Hope everybody has a peaceful and restful Sunday. Be safe out there.

Morning!

Did I say it.stopped raining? I have no idea where those words came from. It's raining again, ever since yesterday early afternoon, and it hasn't stopped since.

Let's hope my taters survive. If the rain doesn't kill them, the voles will have a nice lunch. (Had a quick visit to the allotment yesterday and I could see their burrows all through my garden. It's a yearly recurring game the voles and I play: whoever gets to the plants first, wins.

Today will be a busy week. Besides work (It's a short week again) I need to get all the plants ready to sell them this Thursday and there's some packing to do. Tuesday late in the evening, I'm traveling to the other side of the country to meet up with Mr. Ratat and the kids. I'm working from 'home' that Wednesday. Thursday is a national holiday. (Hope it will stay dry!)

Dinner for one tonight, leftovers will do perfectly fine.

Go get this Monday, I know you all can do this.
