off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. It's 35F (2C) on its way to 66F (19C). Working in the basement office this morning as I have a large customer proposal to submit today. After that, not sure what I've got going on. I'd like to get outside and do a little work in the garden or the landscape. We'll see how it goes. I've got lettuce, radishes, broccoli, chard and potatoes all up and doing well. Looks like the peas are just starting to pop. The carrots and spinach seem to be slow. The asparagus is just starting to pop up too. Our strawberries and apple trees are in blossom. My plan is to start hardening the tomatoes and some of the peppers later on this week. Chicken Tikka Masala tonight. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. Temps here are like Kansas, with rain expected for Tuesday and Wednesday ๐Ÿ˜€. The garden is muddy already from last weeks snow, so rain will also be welcome. Monday errands, coffee group, neighbors dog. Time to label tomato cups, then fill them while itโ€™s raining, and maybe pot up this weekend. They are very slow this year.
Enjoy your Monday. Stay strong and healthy.

Good morning. It's sunny and 41F, on its way to 58F. Supposed to be sunny with little wind. Had a freeze warning last night and again tonight. That's chilly. Watered and fed the plants yesterday. Some of the tomatoes don't look too happy. Not sure what's going on with them. Maybe they were hungry. Need to run some errands today, then off to the hospital. Yesterday was a better day. Hope everybody has a marvelous Monday. Be safe out there.

Morning all,

It's horrible. Parting is such sweet sorrow. I have so many cases with plants ready to sell (or give away) this Thursday. Collected them all yesterday. Tomato plants, sweet potato grafts, many, many, many pepper plants and lots of other stuff that popped up in the garden. I hope it fits in the car. And I hope I'll make some other people happy.

The good thing is I'm creating some serious space to drop a few more seeds, right? Nah, just kidding. Or am I?

Weather is still stuck in a rut. It's supposed to not rain Thursday, which feels like a gift in itself. :)

Dinner tonight is probably just a boring, but nourishing cheese sandwich while driving. It's a three hour drive at least and I'm taking the cat with me, so I want to get it over as quick as possible and not stop on the way for dinner.

Right, off to work now. Have a lovely and hopefully sunny Tuesday. ๐ŸŒž Be safe, be happy.

Morning all, Tuesday is here.
Work all day, I'm putting the pepper plants out to enjoy whatever weather happens today. The over-wintered plants are already staying out all night, dirty little stop-outs - I'm keeping a careful eye on the long-range forecast.
Last lot of seeds in the incubator, then that's it - unless something disastrous happens.
Yesterday afternoon was a whole lot of fun - we had puppies to play with, plus the usual dogs and lovely Angus is improving.
Have a good Tuesday, keep warm, calm, cool, dry and smile :D

Good morning. Happy National Zucchini Bread Day! It's 45F (7C) on its way to 67F (19C). Mostly cloudy. Working in the office for a bit then heading outside. There's a match tonight up in the city. Meeting up my buddies for Mexican food before the match. Good thing plant out is coming up .... I'm running out of room under the lights and can't raise them any higher (unless I get creative). That's about it. Maybe a WM run later this morning or early afternoon. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. It's sunny and 36F, on its way to 61F. Should be a nice day. Dentist appointment today, then a quick stop at Harbor Freight. Will head to the hospital this evening. Yesterday was another good day. I hope they continue. Hope everybody has a terrific Tuesday. Be safe out there.

Good morning. Beautiful sun for a few hours, then rain for 2 days. No complaints as the plants need this moisture. Meeting this AM, then Iโ€™m hoping to fill cups for the tomato potting. The plants are still small, so I hope to do a few trays. Guess I need some of the KS air.
Safe travels, Ratat. Best of luck selling your plants.
Hug those puppies, Tink. Theyโ€™re good for the soul.
Enjoy your day. Stay safe and healthy, and S.M.I.L.E.

Morning!

@Tinkerbelle Is it Friday yet?

I drove to the other side of the country yesterday with a car filled to the brim with seedlings. They're all over the cabin now, waiting to be sold.tomorrow. Some can stay outside:

Others were moved to the bathroom because the dinner table 'is not meant for that'. (Said Mr. Ratat.) Luckily, the bath tub is.

Working from home today, close to my seedlings. Just how I like it.

It's not raining, which is a big improvement. I might even go outside during lunchtime for a ride on the mountain bike. Woohoo!

Remember, It's Wednesday already, which means weekend is just a few days away. Enjoy the day, enjoy life, enjoy family and everything else. ๐Ÿ‘‹

Morning all - Wednesday is upon us and a day off for me. Unforch the weather is not cooperating and rain is forecast.
Hah who cares! I'm not going to let a bit of rain stop me from potting on some of the babies.

@Ratatouille - not Friday yet, but you can pretend it is
Nice haul you've got there. Hope you sell loads tomorrow.
My first bunch of peppers are going up for sell on Saturday.
Although I do need to find a new name for multiple peppers - gaggle of peppers? Pickle of peppers?

ETA: I'm still thinking on a collective name for peppers - plethora? proliferation? plenty? profusion? plenitude? prosperity (I like this one)

I didn't get the chance to check on the babies yesterday so I shall be worrying and nurturing at them today.

Have a good Hump Day - keep calm, dry, cool and smile, it really isn't as bad as you think :D

Good morning. It's a repeat of yesterday. It's currently 45F (7C) on its way to 68F (20C). This will be the last "nice" day for a while as rain moves in tomorrow and Friday. I have NO meetings on my schedule today. Therefore, I am taking the day off. Got home late from the match last night and am still a little blurry. Probably do some chores this morning and then watch the EPL match this afternoon. Perhaps on Sunday we can get our plants outside to begin hardening. Nothing much else is happening today. Spaghetti tonight. Beverages after that. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. It's overcast and 46F, on its way to 66F. Should be an ok day. Dentist says no cavities - yay. Need to cut some grass before the rains start Friday. Hope to get the garden prepped is dwindling. Off to the hospital this afternoon. Hope everybody has a wonderful Wednesday. Be safe out there.

Good morning. Dreary, drizzly 36-54F. The rain saturated the ground yesterday and made the green pop out. We also had hail and graupel, but who cares in April?
Ratat, your plants look beautiful, good enough to entice everyone to start their own gardens soon. Good job.
Guess Iโ€™ll find a few baking chores today after coffee group. Hopefully the rain will keep people at home. Costco in the deluge yesterday, lots of people filling their weekly baskets. Then a Blizzard at Dairy Queen - crazy weather promotes crazy actions.
Have a wonderful day. Enjoy the weather and stay safe. S.M.I.L.E.

Good morning.

Lower back has been out for a couple days. Been resting and sleeping. Was turning the compost pile and I turned to grab the pitch fork and felt a slight pop. Later on I could hardly bend over. Been like that for days now. Always something.

Finally full sunshine and blue skies. Needs to dry out the back yard so I can get make at it.

Lawyer this morning and then hopefully pot up tomato plant , some chiles and a lemon balm. Need to get some compost tea brewing as well as some kratky setups. Oh, and mix another yard or so of potting soil. Still havenโ€™t unloaded the truck full of compost. Rain has kept me away. Good thing because of my back.

May your day be beautiful and joyful.

Morning all,

@Tinkerbelle I like the alliteration you have going there. A pickle of peppers it is.

Rules of the town we're going to (selling peppers today ๐Ÿ˜ฅ) says you need to set up between 5 and 7. I'm talking AM here guys! After 8 the town is closed for cars for the day. I can say that waking up at 4 is a bit of a sleepy adventure.

Loading the car in a bit. I hope it all still fits. It'll be a puzzle.

I divided my dahlia bulbs and some other flower bulbs and made a flower bulb 'grabbelton' for adults to bring with. (It's to early for translations.) A 'grabbelton' is like one of those containers with little presents that children get to rummage through on a fair. Pay 50 cents, get something small. (It's to early for a sound explanation as well.) Here's an internet pic of the concept:

Haha. Mr. Ratat says we're running late. I guess that's my cue.

Hope you all get to sleep in. ๐Ÿ‘‹

Morning all - Thursday rolls around with its whiff of weekend.
Not much planned for today, errands and paperwork, plus some more potting on. Oh and more rain forecast.
Pasta on the menu for tonight.

@Ratatouille - hope the plant sell goes well for you - sell lots. Grabbelton sounds like what I call a "lucky dip" - stick in your hand and you never know what you're going to come out with

Have a good Thursday everyone - keep warm, cool, calm, painfree, dry and smile. This list is getting longer every day :D
