off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Wife is going to help Carol and have lunch. I am going to run a couple errands and drop off 8 bags of water softner salt at Uncle Bens. His salt guy died and he recruited me for the job, lol. My brothers boys are not helping with things and I reached out to one to tell them to have some respect and do what they can and that I loved them. The response I got was they are going to jump me if I ever come back to TN,lol. Both are early 20 and dont understand reality. Think brother will be starting radation next week and he is out of hospital at Moms. Last of the cats as Pew pew ran away when the kitten showed up a few days ago, will probably be back? This is Virginia the kitten.

Good morning. It's 64F (18C) on its way to 72F (22C) and rainy. Much cooler than it has been but it looks like it will be back up to 85F (29C) tomorrow. Going into the office today. Busy day of meetings. I will be fully retired by month end ..... maybe sooner. Nothing else is going on. Be safe and be good.
Congratulations, but where have we heard that (retirement claim) before?

Good morning. 41-54F. C-r-a-z-y weather yesterday with tornado warning sirens blaring everywhere, and on TV and phones. Horrible hail N, S, and E of us. We just got tiny graupel and lots of rain. The TV reported the weather most of the day, pretty boring! Today we supposedly have more rain 🤷‍♀️. Glad I’m not planting out for another 2 weeks.
Since it’s another inside day, I should start making soup and warm up the house. Hopefully the plants on the patio survived well enough.
Have a great time in Belgium, Ratat. Stay dry.
Happy retirement, Harry.
Cute kitties, everyone.
Have a wonderful Thursday. Stay dry and happy.
— The rain just started again. April showers may bring flowers, but May showers bring mud. —

Good morning. It's sunny and 60F, on its way to 81F. Another pretty day ahead. The Wxguesser says use sunscreen today lol. Have a few errands to run this morning, then maybe stop by and see Mom. After that - home and to the garden. Got a few rows prepped and ready to plant yesterday. Hopefully get a few more ready today. Weeds sure pulled easy after all that rain. Virginia is a great name Sic. @midwestchilehead John, you got no room to talk lol. Hope everybody has a terrific Thursday. Be safe out there.

Morning all - Friday is here and dragging the weekend along with it.
It has been far too wet this week and I haven't had a chance to think about putting plants in the veg plot. Soon little plants, soon.
More pepper stuff this a.m. and then work this p.m., hope the rain holds off.
And that's it for today.
Have a good Friday, keep calm, dry, cool and pain-free and smile :D

Good morning. It's sunny and 55F, on its way to 85F. Gonna be a little toasty out there today. Didn't get home until late in the afternoon, so no garden work yesterday. I did manage to haul all the plants outside to begin the hardening-off process. Hopefully get down to the garden today. Bummer about the water problem Sic. Hopefully not too much digging and an easy repair. Hope everybody has a freaky good Friday. Be safe out there.

Good morning. It's 65F (18C) on its way to 87F (31C). Cloudy but hot. Severe storms, hail, tornadoes this evening. Normal spring day. We've received 2.5" of rain in the past 3 days. Looks like more is on the way. We need it and are close to being caught up for the year. I need to get out and mow .... we'll see if it clears up enough for 3 hours of mowing. Plant out party tomorrow. I need to stock the beer fridge. Knowing our visitors, they won't BYOB. No beverages for me. I remain on the wagon. Grilling this evening. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. 42-58F, with light rain. Two large pots of soup were bubbling away yesterday, with hopes of finding homes in the freezer. Nice to make room for more veggies later in the season. Plant swap tomorrow, so I have to finish labeling, etc. The plants spent the night in the basement so they’d be less soggy.
Coffee group, errands, then the day is filled with chores.
Have a wonderful Friday, savor the rain. We not expect more during the summer.

Good morning.

Damn Sic, sorry to hear that. Sucks that most kids today don’t have any grasp of reality. You see it in the news 24hrs a day. I blame time out and letting them express themselves, being replaced by the good ole belt. Good luck on your leak.

Crazy weather Catherinew, we had a slight sprinkle early morning. Yesterday was cloudy, but no rain in my town. Five miles away on i70 and it dumped.

Have a good day you all. Dreaded, Doc appointment today. Last track meet tomorrow. Staying busy working on the lean to and working on automobiles.

Well princess pew pew made a appearance yesterday after missing for a week. She does kinda stay for the most part in the woods in trees but the arrival of the newest kitten sent her into camo mode. Ill get a picture of her when I can, she is a ninja. Walk this morning then have a buddy coming over to get some dragon fruit and san pedro cuttings. Luckily it was the pump switch for the well yesterday. Bull ants had shorted it out and the pump couldnt kick on so we had zero pressure. $70 and 3 hours of my time which is way better than what it could have been. Most of the time was me trouble shooting everything before pulling cap off of switch. Scored several license plates yesterday from a buddy, need to get them hung up in the barn. The collection is starting to grow. Going to look cool when all said and done. Any of yall have old unwanted plates let me know. Well wishes for everyone. Have a great day and good morning.

Good morning. It's 65F (18C) on its way to 87F (31C). Partly cloudy, hot, humid, not too windy. Plant out day has arrived for the tomatoes and about half of the peppers. Looks to be around 60 plants going in the ground today and lots of seed sowing too. Should keep our helpers occupied for awhile. After that, they've scheduled a trip to the local winery (about 7-8 miles away) and the cider mill (about the same distance). Then I guess they'll be back to the house for an outside fiesta dinner this evening. I've got a match tonight up in the city and will not be able to participate in this evening's festivities. Should be a busy day. Sic .... I used to have some old plates out in the barn .... I'll check. Be safe and be good.

Good morning.

Track meet this morning. Might putter on the lean to later today. Need to get the cooler going before the heat comes.

Well the doc said they are going to scope the knee. 4 weeks from now. If it’s what he thinks, two month on crutches and more therapy. There goes my Summer.

Sic, I may have some plates laying around. I’ll have to look. If so I’ll send them your way. Oh, is it coincidence, that two of your cats are named after bands? Rancid and Crowbar? Or is it just me obsessed over music? Lol

Hope you all have a wonderful day and make it productive. Spring is here.

Good morning. 43-55F, with sun to start drying up the land. More rain forecasted next week. Today’s swap should have (hopefully) lots of plants to choose from. I’m looking for a few perennials to fill in spaces from winter kill. The trunk is full of plants, so I’m ready to go. It’s a 90+ minute drive and we’ll be meeting new gardeners. Can’t wait.
Good for you planting out today, Harry. Your party sounds like an adventure for them.
Best of luck selling your plants, Tinker.
Have a wonderful day. Stay healthy and hearty for gardening season is upon us.

Good morning. It's overcast and 68F, on its way to nowhere. Showers and a thunderstorm or two on tap for today. Never made it to the garden yesterday. Did you know that to increase the size of your peaches, you're supposed to thin the fruits on the tree when they're the size of a quarter, or less? I didn't until I read an article by the University of Florida. I figure they know better than I. So, I grab my eight foot latter and head out to "thin". Several hours later, and with a crook in my neck from constantly looking up, I finished ONE tree. We have two, Not sure the other one will be thinned, ha. Anyway, looks like today is an inside day. Might clean up the grow room since all the plants went outside. Glad the fix was a simple one Sic, and no digging involved. Good luck with the plant sales ladies. Great to be planting out Harry. I've still got a week or two to go me thinks. Hope everybody has a super Saturday. Be safe out there.

Peaches not to be.

Morning all - Sunday is here and it's supposed to be warm and sunny all day - trust me, it's not and it's flipping cold :(
Hurt my back doing housework yesterday, housework is dangerous I tell you.
So I'm resting up today - lunch, motoGP, nap possibly some reading if I can stay awake.

Have a good one, keep warm, cool, calm, pain-free and smile :D

Chuck you are right, the kitten Virginia is even named after a song. Down there was a little digging as Im not the sharpest tool and needed to check several things before checking the first thing I should have checked, lol. Live and learn. Will call my mother today to remind her how lucky she is to have me,lol. Sharpening and changing blades and looking over mowers. Chilling the rest of the day. I believe we are having Ice Cream for dinner. Have a great day and good morning.
