off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. Still waiting on the sun, but it's 29F, heading to 66F. Calling for a nice, sunny day. Worked on peppers yesterday, watched the best Hail Mary ever, but didn't shell any beans, lol. Today, probably finish off and bottle one sauce, and continue working on another. Might get outside this afternoon. Congrats on getting the garlic planted, Catherine. I'm sure you're glad that back-breaking job is done, ha. Hope everybody has a marvelous Monday. Be safe out there and enjoy your day.

Good morning. 50-77F, great weather for being outdoors. Another applesauce day ahead, Monday errands, then back to the CG to pull out stragglers. Thanks for the garlic accolade, Downriver. It’s one of my ta-da accomplishments. Now to get the fruit flies outta da kitchen. That’s what gardening is all about.
Have a great Monday. Enjoy the week ahead and stay healthy.

Headed to mobile home park to get the alumnium from the homes that was ripped off during Milton. Finally another well company returned my call! They can start drilling us a new well in the middle of February:woohoo:🤣 Things were a little stressful yesterday but we have been through a lot the last month. Going to go to Dr. Bens for a shower and laundry this afternoon. Have a great day and good morning.

Good morning. It's 34F, on its way to 70F. Calling for a nice, sunny day. Cool! Two sauces finished yesterday. Letting them "rest" in the fridge for 24hr. Plan to bottle later this afternoon. Need to get several errands done first, including taking BIL to Dr's appointment. Hope everybody has a terrific Tuesday. Be safe out there and smell the hot sauce!

Good morning. It's 74F on its way to 86F. Very warm morning and still extremely windy. @catherinew: a small dish containing apple cider vinegar, dish soap and water takes care of most of our fruit flies. I'm still on the mend. Probably run some errands today and then some light outside work this afternoon. More soup this evening. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. Thanks for the fruit fly riddance recipe, Harry. Will use it as we’re smashing apples this AM. WX says we are in for our first freeze and snow tonight - just rain I hope. The leaves are finally starting to fall, finally. The leaf bin/compost pile will be happy, along with the worms. Not much on the agenda except apples and maybe cukes. The CG still needs clearing.
Enjoy your day, stay healthy, make someone’s day a bit brighter.
“Smell the hot sauce” and also the applesauce with cinnamon red hot candies.

Good morning. It's currently 34F, on its way to 78F. Calling for intermittent clouds and sun. Yet another nice day. Need to think about cutting the grass one last time for the season.....or not, lol. I think there's a few more errands on tap for today, then home and futz. Might go down and see if the garden got frosted the other night. Catherine, I think you're the first one to use the s-word this season. Sic doesn't count. When he uses the s-word, it ain't for snow, lol. Hope everybody has a wonderful Wednesday. Be safe out there and save some candy for the kids!

Good morning. 33-42F, no s- yet, but it’s cold and cloudy. Hope to pick up 7 more bags of leaves for the garden after coffee group. One bucket of apples is waiting for the end of applesauce, though my neighbor said he may have another bucket in his shed for me. We have a few errands, then get ready for the trick or treaters tomorrow.
Have a wonderful day. Stay warm and keep that s- away, for now anyway.

Good morning. It's 71F on its way to nowhere. Still very windy. A lot of the leaves have now been stripped from the trees due to the unrelenting high winds. We're also bracing for severe WX this evening/tonight. It looks like we're entering a rainy stretch of WX for the next 5-6 days. That's welcome because we're in the severe drought zone. Running a few errands and then going out for lunch. Maybe some grocery shopping this afternoon and futzing. Be safe and be good.

Not sure whats going on today. I think the 2 hurricanes are starting to catch up to me. My town still is littered with debris and so much damage. Rivers are still rising and flooding new places every day. Ive been dreaming about my future the last few nights. It hasnt been ideal dreams. Feel like doing nothing but I know nothing brings nothing. Sorry for the whine, behave and have a great day. Good morning.

Good morning. It's currently 51F, on its way to 80F. Calling for breezy, sun and clouds. The WX guesser says if we hit 80F today, it will be the 3rd warmest Halloween on record. We haven't had trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood in 20 years, but it's slowly turning over, and new families with young kids are moving in. There was a sign posted at the main corner, saying TorT will be from 5:30-7:30. There was also a box of posterboard pumpkins mounted on sticks. The sign said If you are going to participate, take a pumpkin and put it at the head of your driveway. That way the kids know to knock or not. I've never heard of such a thing, but I think it's a pretty clever idea! We always went by the porch light being on or off, but you can't see some of our porches from the road. They imply it's to avoid bothering those not participating, but I think it's so the kids (AND the parents) don't have to walk the long-azzed driveways in the neighborhood and not be rewarded, lol. Anyway, it's nice to have youngsters back in the 'hood. I need to do a little outside prep to get ready for tonight. Might even make a first pass at raking up some leaves. Hang in there Sic. Things will get better, each and every day! Hope everybody has a terrific Thursday. Be extra safe out there, and have a great Halloween! 🧙‍♀️

Good late morning. It's 53F on its way to 61F. We survived the storms last night and got 3/4" of rain. We need it badly. It's a bluebird Halloween day. Been running errands this morning and now I'm taking it easy. Still not at 100% yet but slowly improving. @DR: We haven't had any trick or treaters here in a long time too. I'm guessing 20+ years. We're a little far out in the "sticks". Switched from AC to heat this morning. I still have some garden removal to do but it's forecasted to rain again starting late tomorrow through next Tuesday. I'm thinking the final bit of garden tear out can wait until sometime next week! Soup tonight. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. It's cloudy and 65F, on its way to 79F. Chance of a shower this morning, then sunshine this afternoon. Sounds good to me. Well, we had nine trick or treaters last night. That's nine more than we've had in 20 years, ha. I think we had enough candy for about 200. Not sure where that's all gonna end up . Today, I need to pick up a new recliner for the BIL, and deliver it. Then, we'll be taking my brother out to eat for his birthday. Hope everybody has a freaky good Friday. Be safe out there, and pace yourself with all that leftover candy!

Good morning. It's 52F on its way to 64F. Not cold. The rain should start mid-morning and it's forecasted to rain the next 3 days. We need it. I'm going to watch the matches this morning and CFB this afternoon. My wife is going out to lunch with a friend and I'm on the hook to pick up BBQ for this evening. Nothing too exciting today. Be safe and be good.
