off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. 47-67F. The sun peeked out at sunrise, but the clouds are back, most likely will see rain again for one more day. Summer will soon be here with its dry, hot heat. Maybe our garden plants will recover and thrive. The earth is not used to so much rain here, but our drought monitor for the whole state is close to 1%.
Not much going on today except a bit of shopping.
Have a wonderful Saturday. Enjoy nature with friends and family.

Sic .... you should .... word of caution .... no beers on the actual playing field. 69F on its way to 90F. Maybe some T-Storms later on. Mowing today. Match tonight. Might watch some golf in-between. Had 2 small racoons in the garage awhile back. The female cat sat right there and watched them eat her food. I grabbed them and put them in a box ..... dropped them off at the state park several miles away. I wonder how long it will be before they're back .... . Beverages later on. Be safe and be good.

Morning.

Lots of rain. Earwigs are hatched and getting out of control. Need to try some traps. If not they will eat the hole garden.

Can’t finish the lean to until Tuesday or Wednesday. Thursday is knee Scope. Just trying to get some things in order. They won’t let me drive home because of the drugs, I can’t take a taxi because of the drugs and my son can’t give me a ride because he only has a permit. I need to ask if me and my son can take a taxi home. If not they can keep me until I can drive. I give up.

Have a good day.

Morning chickens - Sunday is here, enjoy it.
Some rain overnight, not enough of course but it's a start. More storms and rain forecast for today.
One of the tomato plants wasn't doing too well in the main veg patch, too hot I think, so moved that, pinched out the rest of the plants.
Checked on the pepper plants - one of the jalapenos has a pepper bigger than the plant, might have to intervene on that one.
BBQ planned for lunch, then MotoGP this afty, while the storm is raging outside
Have a peaceful Sunday, keep calm, cool, pain-free and smile lots - life could be worse :D (that's not a threat )

Good morning. It 67F on its way to 84F. Hoping for the rain ..... nothing but a few sprinkles so far. Looks like lots of rain up in the city ..... oh well. Not doing much today. The grand kiddos are here. I'll probably watch some golf. Dozens of green tomatoes and tons of annuum pods out in the garden. When I was out there watering, I noticed a bunch of jalapenos and some nice big cubanelles that are ready to be harvested. Some big orange bell pepper pods are about ready too on the screened in porch. All the lettuce has bolted so I need to replant. The peas are about done. The potatoes are flowering and soon the foliage will start turning. Have a great day. Be safe and be good.

Good morning and Happy Father’s Day. The 80F temps are starting today, and will be with us for awhile. Bright sunshine to dry up the land and bring us into reality of brown lawns. The green was nice while it lasted. No fruit this year, so fewer Japanese beetles, I hope. Last year they were horrific.
We’re meeting the kids for brunch at a casino, then I’ll read for a few hours while they enjoy the crowds.
The gardens are just starting, with nothing to offer except lettuce and weeds. No fruit, so I’m hoping to make a run to Chuck’s neck of the woods for fresh produce, especially peaches. And maybe corn.
Have a great Sunday. Enjoy time with family.

Good morning. It's sunny and 65F, on its way to 83F. Another picture-perfect day. This has been an awesome Spring, temperature-wise. Smoked a pork butt yesterday. Turned out delicious. Will be taking some over to Mom's this afternoon. Probably a few more errands while we're out, then home and watch the golf tournament. A nice, chillin day. Hope everybody has a peaceful and restful Sunday. Be safe out there and have some fun.

Good morning. It's 57F on its way to 91F. Warmer than yesterday and should have plenty of sunshine. Could be a long time before it rains again here. Nothing in the forecast for the next couple of weeks. Up early this morning. Hurt my right hip yesterday and can't find a comfortable position to sleep. I won't be unable to do much outside today. Going to take it easy. I've got a fishing trip scheduled for later in the week .... hope I can recover by then. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. It's mostly sunny and 56F, on its way to 85F. Chance of a thunderstorm later this afternoon. Looks like we're easing into that typical Summer pattern - heat and pop-up t-storms. Need to work on mowing deck today. The bolt holding on one of the anti-scalp wheels sheered off. Always seems to be something with this deck. Not real happy with this older version. The newer model deck has been improved and folks seem much happier with it. But since they cost over 5K, I suddenly like the one I have much more 🙂. After that, I need to focus on the new drip system. I think it will make watering a lot easier (I hope). Sorry to read about the hip Harry. Rest and libation might be the ticket. Hope everybody has a marvelous Monday. Be safe and have fun out there.

Good morning.

Sic, they won’t let me take a taxi because I would be drugged up. You know how many times I sadly took a taxi when I was younger all drunk and one time on hallucinogens. 😂 Always made it safely to my destination. My house is 3 1/2 miles from the hospital. Lol. What could go wrong. 🤷🏼

I’m out of touch. I don’t watch any news. I had no idea Juneteenth was a thing. I guess this has been a thing for a couple years. Never noticed. I’m usually working my ass off this time of year and only notice quitting time. Weird nobody mentioned it.

Didn’t sleep well last night. Forced myself out of bed early. Might do some organizing in the back yard. Everything else is done. Need to paint some fence pickets for a repair.

High wind warning today with 90+ degree heat. That should be fun.

Have a great day.

Good morning. It's cloudy and 64F, on its way to 75F. Should be an ok day. Calling for a thunderstorm or two this afternoon. Got about .5" of rain last night. Much needed. Worked on the compost pile yesterday. Turned it and caged it. That was fun - not. Installed the main irrigation lines yesterday. Now it's time for emitters. It's not as important as before, with rain forecast every day for the next 10 days - at least 50-80% chance. Like I said, we need it. Not sure what's on the agenda today, but less is more. Back is giving me fits. Hope everybody has a terrific Tuesday. Be safe out there, and have fun.

Good morning. Yesterday’s temps hit 91 here, not used to that this year. We worked on sprinklers last night and found only 3 that needed help. Had to cut down a few beautiful flowers that were in the way. CG to water as it’s going to be hot for a few more days.
Time to feed the cat, the birds, and then off to the CG.
Have a Great Tuesday. Stay safe and healthy.

Good morning.

Hair cut and chiropractor.

Plants are doing good. We had 91 as well with wind yesterday. Had to water the little guys twice. I dropped the price on the plants. I need to quit watering. I have other things to attend to.

Sorry about you pain Harry. Do you think a chiropractor would work or a good masseuse? Maybe relieve the pressure? Hope you feel better.

I bought my fishing license earlier this year. Can’t go fishing because the waters have been so high and muddy since Spring started. We’re hitting Summer now and the waters will warm up as soon as the levels recede. We’ll see what happens with the knee. Probably have to go to the Mesa Flat Tops. Here’s something from Wikipedia.

“The Grand Mesa is a large mesa in western Colorado in the United States. It is the largest flat-topped mountain in the world. It has an area of about 500 square miles (1,300 km2) and stretches for about 40 miles. The mesa rises about 6,000 feet (1,800 m) above the surrounding river valleys, including the Grand Valley to the west, reaching an elevation of about 11,000 feet (3,400 m). Much of the mesa is within Grand Mesa National Forest. Over 300 lakes, including many reservoirs created and used for drinking and irrigation water, are scattered along the top of the formation. The Grand Mesa is flat in some areas, but quite rugged in others.”

Have a good day. Stay safe and enjoy life.
