hooda's Grow 2012 - Rise of the Clones

So today i just transplanted my first set of seedlings that are about 3 weeks old now and have started my new seeds I just got from pepperlover.com today.

3 week old peppers are:

Manzano
Gochu
Caribbean Red
Jalapeno
Cayenne
Bhut Jolokia
Fatalii
Aji Lemon
Aji Chuncho
Tepin
Red Habanero
Scotch Bonnet TFM
Maui Thai
7 Pod Yellow

Transplants were done a bit early for some but I think it was for the best as they were all in jiffy pellets and some of the seedlings were starting to root past the pellet and starting to dry out faster than I was comfortable with.

Pepperlover.com was awesome and threw in Orange Hab, Red Hab, and Aji Chuncho with my order

Also all of the seedlings I'm growing I still have extra seeds if anyone is interested in some trades.

The shovel worked out great. It would have looked better in someone else's hands digging that huge hole lol.

Thanks for stopping by guys.

Well today was garden work and a trip to the nursery. So without my input my girl was super excited that she found a chocolate bell pepper plant and insisted that we bought it to add the the garden. So I introduce the chocolate bell.

She then later told me that she was excited about it because it will be just like my chocolate/brown bhuts, with how amazing the color is, without the heat.

At the nursery I did see some fataliis, which I was most surprised to see, but they were in really rough shape. Most of the varieties there were annuum, which was expected Anyway happy Sunday.

Looking really good, hooda! Your plants will love the sun and drip
water system. My next task here is to get the irrigation dialed in.
I use 1/4" soaker hose rings around the base of each plant rather
than a 'drip' type emitter.

Your plants are only going to look better and better!

Continued success ,bro! I'm a tad jealous of your SD weather, but
am glad to see the great plants you have going!

Everything is starting the bud now, so I should have plenty of flowers opening soon. Also everything is growing at a pretty good rate, so as long as all stays good these guys will be twice as tall in a couple weeks.

I'll get some close ups when I get home from work today.

Not too exciting. I'll get some better pictures with my real camera when they all start to flower.

Edit:
I just checked my mail and I got the package from Matt (MGOLD86)!

So there is Xtreme gardening tea brew, myco blast, and soil blast. Also some smoked Bhut Jolokia powder ( thepeppergrowingman ) which I am going to take a good tastes test of now. Thanks Matt, you're awesome.

Edit:

Ok so I took a good taste of the smoked Bhut Jolokia powder, damn that stuff is pretty hot! Heat took about 2 seconds to kick in and it really kicked in. Instantly my whole mouth was burning and even made me feel a bit fuzzy in the head and in my arms. Heat died down to where only my lips were burning after about 9 minutes.

Yeah I still haven't got the drip watering dialed in yet I think I under water and over water at times. But I'll get it sooner or later.

Wow! You and Seth both got the pkg today. 3 days, not bad at all!

I am glad you like the flakes, I have them in a shaker and they are literally ALWAYS on the table. Eggs, soup, sammys, spaghetti, hell, may work great in some Ice Cream!

Your plants are gonna love the tea! Happy Growing!

Woah, good on Matt - he's a bro! I'm sure you will put those to
good use and really max out your grow! Can't wait to see the results.

Things are really taking off now! Couldn't really do a side by side, since the last group shot posted on May 31st is on another page, but it's amazing how much taller and fuller all of your plants are in just a weeks time! Good job!!!

De Arbol flowering like crazy
Looking mighty fine Hooda! Nice shot of the Chile de Arbol. That's one of the varieties I want to grow next year... it's good to know what it looks like when it's happy.
I love De arbols. They have a great ripe taste when they are fresh, that I love. This one is actually my second plant of de Arbol after my last 4 year old took a dive. The weird thing is this one isn't growing the "tree like" branching that my last one did. But I have heard not all labeled de arbols are the same. So as far as happy, this one is, but my last had about a foot on this one and reached for the sky.

Got yours drinking the tea too huh??? Mine really seem to like it. and when I put the post brew blob of compost back in my worm bins I come back to find the little bricks loaded with worms. cool stuff! Almost time for some socal pod exchanges!

Keep up the good grow!
Shane
