JCW's 2015 Glog

Well, here's to another year. I wanted to downsize from last year, and ended up practically doubling everything.  Started germinating on Jan 22 using paper towel method.  Tried 2 ways, one in cups with the seeds on top, other the way I have always done with the seeds in paper towel in ziploc.  Both have worked, but the paper towel in ziploc seems faster, maybe better temp control there.  So far have about 55 seeds in dirt after 11 days with many of them already popped up and looking happy.
 

 
Almost an embarrassing setup compared to many I see on here, but it worked great 10 years ago, and still worked fine last year so I figure no need to change yet.

Will need another rack of lights this year for the increase in volume I have.

        I don't know what to say other than  . Your plants look like the definition of plant health and your pod pics should be in a textbook! Fantastic grow. You're one hell of a gardener!
     How did your 7pot burgundies turn out? If not true, I'll send you some to try. I have a really productive OW that needs to be picked. 
     I got a kick out of your paper lanterns, those things are monsters! Same with your brown morugas. I'm glad to see your garden persevered over our wet weather this season. Keep it up!

Still swimming in pods.  Looks like another mega haul this weekend again.   Hopefully I can find homes for them.
 
This picture sucks, can't see what I am trying to show, but the baccatums have went nuts.  THe tops are loaded now and all bending over.  Just set hundreds of pods in the last 2 weeks.

Not sure why, but this corner of the garden is noticibly smaller size plants than the rest.  Mostly scorpions / morugas down here.

Thanks, and tell me about it.  Thats the crappy thing about living up north like we do.   Almost everyone has pods at this time of year and don't need any.  I been cutting all week and thats after selling / giving away 80% + of last weeks pick.  I still have more in the fridge to process.  Dehydrator is full, bags of pods ready to smoke saturday and refill dehydrator.

Yes, I figure by November I will have enough powder for 20 years, so will have to start giving it away again like last year. Was hoping they would be smaller plants than last year which they are, but pod size is bigger and production every bit as good as last year for the most part. Have probably picked 300 or 400 nagabrains already with no end in sight for those on only 2 plants.

Has to be 300 to 400, I have picked so damn many of these and the plants are still loaded.  By far the most productive plants I have and many of the pods have been really big.  Might pick another hundred tomorrow.  Hard to tell by the picture, but the big red pile almost in the middle was last weeks nagabrains.  I been picking them for a month now.

Thanks, its been too good really, so tired now.  Can't keep up.  Of all the seeds we traded that EOB is my all star.  I love everything about that pepper.  The arkansas peach was red.  Kinda like a hot habanero, pretty good.

That EOB is a nice pepper.  Credit for it goes to Mike (capsidadburn).  I'm not sure what generation it's up to, but he's been growing it out for awhile.  The AR Peach is a peach selection of a red not-Carolina Reaper and is only a couple of generations old.  I'm not surprised any particular plant would revert to red.  Hopefully someone, somewhere will get the peach color to persist.
 
Are y'all pulling our legs about those pods?  The red one looks like a Big Jim or 6-4 and the yellow like some big yellow sweet I've seen somewhere, maybe a Golden Marconi?
