Meatfreak 2014 Glog

So I've started my grow a couple of weeks ago, 28th of January. I use the same setup as previous seasons, 2x 125watt CFL 6400K lights, black/white foil. First round were the Chinense, about 22 different varieties, mostly superhots and hots. Almost everything germinated within a week and with a total germ rate of 92% I was pretty pleased. I potted them up last week and they quickly showed new growth again. Well enough talk, this is what the plants looked like yesterday, 10 days after transplant and almost 4 weeks from start date.

This one is a beast, very rapid growth, big leaves and already branching out? Georgia Black (Jason/GA Growhead)

This season I'm growing out a couple of crosses from friends like Gary/Nagabrain Chocolate F-2, Mike/Elysium Oxide Bonnet and Jamie/Green Hornet F-2. Also some phenotypes that showed up at John's garden, 7 Pot Peach F-2 and 7 Pot Caramel F-2. Of course I'm also growing my own discovery from last season, Pimenta Lisa F-2. Got 2 seedlings going, one has the desired traits so far and the other one is green as grass. Looking forward to growing both out!

Last weekend I started up the second round, mostly Annuum and some Chinense I got in trades these last few weeks. Today the the first ones sprouted after merely 3 days and even Chinense! Well that's it for now, thanks for keeping up so far :D

Great update Stefan!  Those P. Lisa are amazing looking.  I've got some catch up to look like that here!

Beautiful tomato slice too!

Great job, look forward to the next!

Mike
Thanks, Mike. Looks like I'm gonna be harvesting some more tomatoes this week, lots are showing color now.

Variation on both sides of the pond I see!
Lisa's are looking cool. I'm just getting flowers on mine. I never planted my one green plant. It's still in a 3.5 x 5 inch pot. It looked sad at me today, wanting bigger shoes. :(
Yeah, Jason. I noticed it early when the pods were setting that the shape was a bit of but now since the plants have more pods and bigger it's obviously not really true.
Oh come one, give it some bigger shoes ;)

Yes, Jwalas are typically light green, and very wrinkley, eventually ripening to bright red.
Thanks, they have this white hue over them, never seen this with a pepper before. Looks cool!

Scotch Brain's F-2 (Scotch Bonnet Yellow x 7-Pot BS Yellow F-2, PIC1 creation) Gnarly as ever but not an consistent podshape.

7 Pot Peach F-2 (Sawyer), it's 2 plants blended together. The darker pods were first set, didn't look like the right phenotype to me but today finally the other plant had set pods which were light green. Looks promising!

Some Beaver Dam pods for on the BBQ tonight.

Gnarly Scotch Brains....and also a colorful tomato selection.

What ever that "novelty tomato" is in the 4th  photo...........well, just give two of those to go...........
Glad you like them, Greg :) Got a couple of those freak tomatoes going on, I just let them hang. Makes it fun when harvesting :)

Very nice variety of tomatoes. That Scotch Brain gives me cap cramps just looking at them. Nice looking plants. Thanks for sharing.

Have a good week.

Chuck
They do look evil but last season they weren't superhot. Very curious to try them this season to see if they are hotter now. You have a good week as well, Chuck!

Those are some of the best looking pods i've seen. Can't wait to see them ripe.

Jal and Tomato harvest looking great Stefan... did you have some steady rain before last weekend? Some of your 'maters looked cracked. My Datterini and Russian Plum Tomatoes are starting to ripen up now, and I have to stake the plants because they've so outgrown the cages I planted them into. Not the worst problem to have I think... :)  Drive on!
