PEI are epic!grantmichaels said:I was surprised to see "farm raised mussels" were only like $3.50/lb on sale at Publix ...
If I'm making them for myself only, how many pounds would I want to eat well - like 3?
Also, what's PEI? I've seen PEI before, but these weren't those ... oh wait, I know ... Price Edward Island, but Bum ... those ate just good one's from CatalinaOp.com ...
So I know, for next time, just grab two lbs, or three, or ?
That's it for me....that is why I told Grant it is personal preference. The Hot Pepper said:Nice!
6 mussels? Last mussel frite I got I ate 74.
If you have a Costco near by, catch them when they make their bread...usually can tell when it is being made before you enter the store by the smell alone.grantmichaels said:#artisan #lulz #killinmesmallz

Mussels are mostly shell weight. A pound of mussels will yield like 4-6oz of meat. Normally a pound will serve as an app portion for one.
Just buy a bag, that is perfect for 2 or if you really want eat them all solo in a nice steamed white wine garlic sauce that you can dip your fresh bread in.grantmichaels said:
Sweet, so like 2-3 lbs for a small mouth-fisting fest, yeah?
