New Toy!

MSAR E4 in OD with a 16" barrel and factory 1.5 optic. It came with 5 MSAR made 30rd mags. I have an optics rail and an Eotech XPS coming, and my wife already bought me a singlepoint sling and 10 foiliage green Pmags for it!!!!

Nice looking rifle. Have you fired it yet? How is it for accuracy?

I put about 300rds of various makers downrange. So far it's 100% and AR accurate! Standing 30 round groups about the size of my fist at 50 yards with surplus ammo is pretty OK! :P When the weather gets better I'll be going to the range to stretch it's legs out to 500yds to see what happens. Plus I'll be doing CQB drills and MF drills to get an idea of how it handles being run hard.

Sweet! I've never fired one. I might be buying an M4 from someone I work with in the future, but I'm still paying off a couple other toys.

Nice piece. I really like the design. Is it the new .223 that is suppose to be indestructible? I saw one that was show on Modern Weapons and he was burring it in the sand, mud and water yet it still fired flawlessly.

Since seeing this thread, I have been oogling over this gun and ironically a friend of mine stopped by today to see how I'm doing since my surgery and brought along his new toy. Yep, it was the same weapon. After fondling it first had, I really, really want one. Apparently, they are much better than an AR because they shoot much more level in respect to recoil, which means faster target acutation. Oh, and this gun feels NOTHING like a paintball gun!

AK's have been doing that for a long time now, plus they are 7.62. Ammo is cheap and even left handed goofs can fire them

Damn...I never though of that. I'm a left-handed shooter. The shells would be bouncing off my neck!
It's an ambi rifle. All yu need to do is order it as a lefty, or order a left hand bolt. It will then eject out the other side!

It's like an AR, but shorter and piston driven. The only parts that get dirty are the piston head, and bore. Damn near everything is chromed, so I don't really even need a brush, just wipe it clean. It's shorter than a 10.5" barreled AR!!!

+1 on that! The balance is in yout triger hand. You can hold it up all day and your arms won't get tired. The recoil feels like it comes straight back, an AR feels a little like it goes to a side. I find it to be much easier to keep on target when doing a rapid fire.

So what do you use it for? Just shooting range? Don't tell me your allowed to hunt with it!

Why wouldn't I hunt with it? .223 is a great varmint round. When I lived in Texas I used a .223 exclusively to hunt with and harvested around 100 animals mostly large wild hogs and about 20 whittetails. Use the right bullet, shot placement, and everything is fine. ;)

Mostly it's for killing paper and home protection. It's getting a rail where the FVG is and I'll be installing a light, laser, and a TangoDown VFG.
