Not a grow log

This is what I have going so far, they are still all very small but they have a long way to go before plant out. The earliest to sprout were the Fatalii's that were sown on the 12th of Jan. but the wilds were sown on the 6th of Jan. and the majority of the Hab's on the 18th. I have not planted the majority of the varieties yet which will be mostly annuum's. I am only going to plant in the garden the Habanero's and the varieties that produce the smaller pods so the pepper maggot flies do not lay thier eggs in them. the rest will be sold. I am hoping to get 150 varieties in the garden though. Here is what I have so far;

very nice Dale...

when it comes transplant time, you are going to be very very busy it looks like...

members here say not to worry about it but the purple in the leaves look exactly like my Bhuts... thats how purple some of my plants are !?

cant be good...

i think it could be from the lights or possibly the sweating of plants from sudden temperature change...

are you keeping them at a constent temp podpiper ?

Dale,

Is that all you're sowing?

150 varieties? I know major seed companies that don't offer that many types and they just package and sell the seeds!

Good luck with your sales but a question - what, if anything, are you using for pest control?

Good looking plants, there. What is the one with the purple leaves?

No the temps are not constant, they change at night. The purpling of the leaves is business as usual when using fluorescent lighting don't worry it will not affect the plants.

Thanks everyone.

Dale, it sure is easy to ID the Piment de Neyde. :) It's such a beautiful plant.

Great job! I too was wondering who you are selling to? Good luck this season. I'm growing lots of C. Pubescens this season. Can't wait to see what comes of it.

Dale,

You're right. That's not a grow log, that's a grow novel. Beautiful looking group of seedlings! I can't imagine trying to keep all of that straight.

That is an interesting looking pepper. Can't wait to hear your opinion of it.

Chris and Kyle, I am just going to sell them locally to mostly friends and friends of friends. Also will try and sell some in front of the house during rush hour, I have a good location and I think that will work the best for me.

chicagofire, my family thinks that I am crazy. I have heard it all and have been called many things. What's really funny is when I have friends from work ask if they can bring people over to see my garden. I just tell them to make sure they bring thier own bag.

I have no concrete plans for this years garden yet but I believe they include another garden expansion project, maybe 10 more feet the whole length. That would give me another 1000 sq. ft.

I think some sort of bushberries will be my next project.

Do the exotic varieties sell well? I was thinking maybe I could sell some of the 'regular pepper' seedlings that everyone's heard of. Probably at a flea market or on the side of the road.

OK, I've got all the seeds that i'm going to germinate in the box. This is the final list for this year. I'm not sure how many of these will go in the garden though. Will take some pics tomorrow
