Next beer

labeled Sorta Pale Ale

Appearance - Dark for a pale ale, in the realm of brown ale, good lacing, good head that is dissipating at a good rate but holding at a half inch above the beer

Smell - Perfume and flowers. I smell geraniol upfront real big. I also get a metallic smell as well

Mouthfeel - Medium body but super thick on the tongue. Coats the mouth like peptobismol

Taste - A combination of good malts, european floral hops/noble hop flavors, but I get some lemon citrus. A lot of bitterness without the appropriate amount of hop flavor or aroma. It is drinkable, but nothing really sticks out. It has all the components of like a british pale ale, but everything is super subdued, nothing really sticks out. I am honestly having a hard time finishing this bottle as it is so coating on my mouth.

Overall - High 20's because it has potential, but its missing a lot of key components. I don't taste any infections though. You know what, it feels like drinking a really oily IPA but with no IPA flavor. Lots of oils or something here, I just cant put my finger on it.
This one was done with the hops I got from AB's hop giveaway at the brewery.  All Cascade fresh whole hops.  Probably the reason for the oil.

Well, I went ahead and bought the 7.1 cuft freezer. Now I will sit down and design how I want to do the collar. There are some pretty awesome setups online. Some people have really decked them out. I will probably be kegging the blackberry wit I have in the secondary this weekend and also keg the imperial stout. Hopefully I can find time to do the collar this weekend and set it all up with the beer inside :). Can't wait!

If you need a controller check out the one I built in the DIY thread. It's an easy build and not very expensive. Works like a champ too.

I already made one just like you made for a ferm chamber. I may use one and stick it out the collar eventually.

I was going to keg up the imp stout and blackberry wit tonight but the damn gaskets/o rings on the last keg I bought are bad and the damn lhbs closed at 5. Oh well tomorrow I guess.

Got new orings for the keg. I have some baking soda solution in it to get rid of the soda smell. I guess the guy I got it from never did that, or never used it.

Have the other keg full of PBW that I will switch to the other keg after it soaks tonight.
