A couple of the c. chinense have started to pull out
of their aphid-induced funk, but most still look really
sick. Aside from aphids, I think they spent too much
time in the 1 quart pots and are just having a hard
time growing into the big containers. May be looking
at reduced production this season, although there are
still 4 or 5 months left for them to get their healthy glow on.

One of my favorite annuum varieties - Chili Costa Rica,
seed from The Hippy Seed Company. Multiple pods at
every node, and probably one of the most beautiful purple
plants around. The pods start out black, then turn red as
they ripen. In late Summer the plant looks like it has bunches
of black and red marbles all over. Despite being hammered
by aphids, the plant is doing well, and putting out some nice
new growth:

Now that is a cool looking plant Paul!
 
Edit: And the rest look great too!
 
I feel the plants will shake the Aphid experience and move on

The topped yellow looks great. I always am back and forth on tipping. I love my topped plants but hate to do it. Either way, yours looks great.

What light do you have on the indoor “aphid plant” grow? I’ve been using T5s in the past but feel it’s time to upgrade.

I topped the Mini Yellow because it was reaching
for the sky early on. I generally don’t like to do that,
but ya gotta do...
 
The indoor part of my grow is under T5HO lights. I
have two 4x4, two 2x4 and two 2x2 lamps. Some
above table tops, and the 2x4s on a grow shelf. All
in our garage. If I were a younger man, I might upgrade,
but these will perhaps outlast me

Man, one of my neighbors is 78 years old and he's still lifting weights, riding motocross and sailing his boat. He's not even looking like he'll slow down in the next 20 years.
 
So, you never know. :-)

You know we had a cool spring early on this year. For us it's a blessing.
The heat is here now though!
 
Looks like some smooth sailing around the 18th...get ready!

Finally got around to transplanting the micro tomatoes.
They will live in the #1 nursery pots for the Summer.
Most of these will only grow to 8-12 inches tall. Look-
ing forward to trying these out. Hoping to find several
varieties worth going forward with.
 
Most should produce fruit in 55-75 days.

Yellow Balcony, Rosy Finch, Pinocchio, Lukoshko,

Not much to report pepper-wise. We are still
stuck in the June Suck until next Wednesday.
If we're lucky, it will be over then. I hate June.

I guess we can all relate to that. Only now I think plants started to grow. They were stunted by the cold nights, some got aphids so... let's hope to a better weather from late june on.
