He looks like a loveable mischievous pup. Ghita was from a rescue in NJ via Tennessee. Considering the amount of dogs coming from the south with similar markings and characteristics you'd swear this is a new breed. She's listed as lab/terrier/short hair border Collie. I went 20+years after the death of my Molly, black lab that was also a rescue from a abusive home. Good for the both of ya.

Looks like a good squirrel dog @hardcore. My uncles in Louisiana always had squirrel dogs. Smart as could be.

Here are a few pics from our interesting winter. Most are from a basic trail cam. This will probably take a couple posts since I can't figure out how to get pics off the phone. Some show up and transfer, others I can't find with the computer to transfer.

Nov2024 buck and a coyote in the front yard just off the deck.

Found out there were a couple cats under the deck in the winter. I started putting out cat food. First just off the deck in a snow bank, and the toehees liked it too. We had an icemelt mat on the deck, perfect for warming up the critters and keeping the water bowl melted.

turns out there were 3 cats over the winter. Black and white, a ginger, and a dark grey bobtail.

Feb2025, about 15 deer showed up for the bird seed. Same day the quail covey came by. Something spooked them and they all took off and the trail cam caught that pic of the inflight.

And the long hair calico is our household villian named Pudderz

The cats were out there all winter in single digit temps. A couple nights down to 0F. They seemed to take shifts. One cat would be eating and staying on the heat mat for an hour or so, then another one would come up. Only had the one picture of the confrontation of the 2 cats.
