RocketMan's 2013 Glog; In The House!!

There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments." -- Janet Kilburn Phillips

I love that quote and it will try my best to remember it through this new grow. So, I'm going with only 18 varities this year as we're looking at moving to a larger house if not buying this summer and I really don't want to have to try and haul a ton of plants when we do. the ones I've selected are:

Alot of them are ones i started last year that never grew beyond a certain point and I'm pretty sure that a lot of it was my new grower mistakes. Since I really want to try them I'm giving them a grow again. Once again, thanks to everyone that helped me getting started with gifts of seeds and to all on here thanks for leaving your incredable words of wisdom that we can all learn from.

Cheers to a bountiful grow this year.

Congratulations! I hear being a grandparent is even better than being a parent. You get to enjoy (ie.spoil) the kids, without all the day to day stresses and responsibilities. I'm ready to not be the bad guy anymore!

I have made what I call Smoked Dragons Tail using it. I'll mix about half a bottle of the sauce with 12 ounces of a dark beer like a good Porter of smoked porter and marinate a Pork Loin roast over night and then smoke of a mix of Apple and Mesquite. When it has an hour left to go I'll coat the thing with the rest of the sauce and let it make a nice Bark on it. Good Stuff :)

Never tried it on Gator Tail SS, might be. We had a Ice Cream Social hour at work today and I took a bottle in. This batch came out a touch hotter than the last one did but was still good to those who stepped up to try it.  Hehehehe

My daughters would go completely Ape over that. The one's in college most of all.

Thoughts:

After we get a new house my plants will be going in the ground. Is there anything that really helps with transplant shock or is it all just hype to sell another product? Would the best thing be just to prep the soil with some Black Cow and a touch of Fert. and water it in good?

Drip systems. The house has a well that has an iron reduction system on it that handles the yard. I'll run a half inch main lone off of it but haven't decided whether to use the soaker types that loop around the plant base or just the usual little dribblers. Also seems like I saw something somewhere about a completely under ground system that sounded pretty cool.

Any thoughts?
