RocketMan's 2013 Glog; In The House!!

There are no gardening mistakes, only experiments." -- Janet Kilburn Phillips

I love that quote and it will try my best to remember it through this new grow. So, I'm going with only 18 varities this year as we're looking at moving to a larger house if not buying this summer and I really don't want to have to try and haul a ton of plants when we do. the ones I've selected are:

1. 7 Pot Jonah---------------------------- Pic 1
2. Aji Lemon------------------------------- romy6
3. Chili De Arbol Negro------------------ smokemaster via SocalChilihead
4. Datil-------------------------------------- Pic 1
5. Fatalii------------------------------------ Pic 1
6. Gochu----------------------------------- Stickman
7. Red Savania--------------------------- Pic 1
8. Chocolate Habanero----------------- Pic 1
9. West Indian Yellow Habanero------ Pic 1
10. Jalabanero---------------------------- SocalChilihead
11. Jalapeno------------------------------- frydad4
12. Douglah-------------------------------- Pic 1
13. Peruvian White Habanero---------- ????
14. Scotch Bonnet Jamican Red------- Pic 1
15. Thai Short----------------------------- Lieban
16. Jamican Hot Chocolate------------- ????

Alot of them are ones i started last year that never grew beyond a certain point and I'm pretty sure that a lot of it was my new grower mistakes. Since I really want to try them I'm giving them a grow again. Once again, thanks to everyone that helped me getting started with gifts of seeds and to all on here thanks for leaving your incredable words of wisdom that we can all learn from.

Cheers to a bountiful grow this year.

These are more Snails than slugs. hard to get the salt through the shells.

Bill,
Your OW's are kicking in nicely...and your solo's aren't flying alone, you have a whole squadron of smaller plants ready to zone in.

Hmmm......I like a breakfest sammie. Throw that baby in a covered dry skillet or hot oven...melt that cheese.

Everythings looking good, I hope all is well....plant-on !

Bill what is the difference between your Thai Short and my Thai Hot? The pods you show look the same or is it just a matter of different names for the same pepper? A little about mine; I got seeds from a friend that visits Thailand once a year so I know they're real Thai, hahaha. Click here for info on my plant. BTW I got a small harvest from it today as well, I’m trying to build up a baggie full to make a sauce so they just keep going into the freezer.

Edit: I don't recall if I've mentioned in my glog in the past but this plant is a self starter, I've thrown numerous little ones that spring up under its micro canopy. So today while picking off a few I decided to plant out one of the self starters, hehe.

I got mine from a friend who's wife is Thai. They sent me 2 kinds of Thai peppers, short and long. The short are the hot ones and that's about all I know about them :)

BTW, I'll show you mine if you show me yours ;)

Baggie of peppers in the freezer, come on Ramon, get  your mind out of the gutter :)

Yes mine are very hot but since they’re so small you can munch one up without much burn, hehe. The pods look identical and similar looking plants from what I recall seeing of yours posted, although both mine are super small and don't grow very big, but pump out pods daily. The leaves are smaller than ones fingernail, lol.

Not sure my better half would approve :D ;)

Only way I can build up quantity, I use to eat them up and mix into food but I’m covered with larger peppers for that. So I decided I would at least make sauce once before I gift off my plants.

Bill!  Your plants look great, and the wee ones should start growin' like mad in the EastFlo weather!
Nice pics and great looking sandwich there, buddy!  My kind of meal!

Congrats on the grandpa thing! And nice to be pulling in some harvests. I'm impressed with the tomatoes in pots - I have had trouble with anything in a container, so what you guys pull off in a container really impresses me. Well done!
Good luck on the house stuff too - did they accept the offer?

Well, Friday I got home and my son comes running up daddy, we got some harvest, so out we go and come back in with this:

Then Saturday morning as I was watering I find this:

And this, which way out front and no where near the plants:

Anybody know what the heck this is? It doesn't look beneficial to me.

Now Saturday afternoon saw me on the road up to Edgewater to meet a good friend of mine for the first time. Jamie, romy6, was going into DTs from running out of my Sauce and so I hand delivered some to him and got to meet him and his wonderful family, and yes, Tebow too :) let me tell ya, you don't walk into the romy house a stranger, your a friend I haven't met yet. Jamie and I had a nice visit, couple of beers and a walk through his garden. Little did I know that he had a harvest out there just waiting on me to get there. So here's what Jamie and JJ, who's quite the little "American Picker" as he says, hand picked for me while I was there:

Now He loves anything I send him but if there was one sauce the I were to say is his favorite it would be the Flaming Pumpkin, so as soon as I can find some pumpkin I'll be starting a ferment going.

Happy Memorial Day, I'll be posting up some plant pics later.

Bill

It's more like Bill did me right right. He is even nicer in person . I am truly blessed to have made a true friend indeed. Here is what he brought me

The Cannonfire is a fermented sauce made from real love. Y\ou can taste the sweet taters and then just a nice blend of peppers and harmony. It will last about 3 days in my house  It is an amazing sauce :fireball:
