SalsaKid & Salsalady eat...a REAL BHUT!

a scorp?!? ALRIGHT! Thanks, PRF, and yes, there's more to follow soon. I'm not sure if Salsakid will man up for another one. That douglah kicked his butt pretty good. But I'm hoping he'll try a smaller piece to get his confidence back up. I'll just have to tell him "no ice cream with out a pepper" LOL

Another one today. We had to take a day off after the douglah to fully recover. Today's pepper was a naga morich from Pepper Ridge Farm.

You won't believe what the kid does!
Now I'm thinking of how to use the rest of the naga moriches in a sauce.....MMMmmmmm!
 
Salsakid is amazing! Never seen a kid his age eat peppers like these and want more and more. Watching his face he is staring at something with a far away look trying not to think about the pain. You salsalady show the pain well and these vids make me laugh with the kid being the true chilehead in the family, he should be renamed chilikid. A star is born. :fireball:

'Kid wasn't gonna do any more peppers. Done Deal. That douglah kicked both of our butts. But true to form, once I got him in front of the camera, he couldn't not do it. When we started, I honestly wasn't sure if he would choose to eat it or not.



I really like the flavor of the morich. I'm not sure if anyone caught it, but there was an "uurrrp" moment when I wasn't sure if things were going to stay down. First time THAT'S happened!!!


And now that the douglah is done and another hot pepper has been conquered, I'm looking forward to the peach habanero and the Guadalupe. Not sure if I'm looking forward to the scorpion...... :eek:



I'm really glad 'Kid jumped in there. He's been saying "NO WAY" for 2 days. I Love that Kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Great videos SL. I thought you were going to hurl on the douglah! Everyone could tell that you were in a serious amount of pain! :fire: You took it like a champ though... Kudos!!!! :cheers:

P.S. The Guadaloupe Blacks are nowhere near as hot as the Naga Morich and Douglah. Should be a piece of cake for both of you! Keep up the good work ;)
 
Mali, I did not feel like hurling with the douglah but it just hit the stomach like a grenade. About 6 hours later...without eating...I was thinking hurling might help but I knew that things were already "on the move" through the system and hurling would not help.


For whatever reason, when trying to chomp the naga moriches today, the hurl thing came up for the first time. I know...TMI!!!!




SalsaKid is cruising! Minimal discomfort and is actually looking forward to the peach habanero.
 
Great videos SL, that boy of yours sure has plenty of guts. Most grown men wouldn't eat those chillies yet here he is asking for more. He may have spat out the Douglah but he sure gave it a red hot go. Well done to both of you.
 
Great vids you guys, its awesome to see that absolute and genuine fear when it starts to kick in! And after the effort on the douglah.... salsakid, you are the man!! :D

Here's another good one. I still can't get the editing program to work properly, so it's cut off at 10 minutes. It misses a few comments, but that's about it.

Spot on again about the Scorpion not having the best flavor, the heat is what makes this pepper great. You two are seasoned pepper experts and your videos are very accurate and informative. :cheers:
 
i like your kid's commentary a lot. kids are so straightforward with their opinions, it's great: "that's disgusting!".

ok and i just saw that naga morich video.. that kid is a beast. had i eaten that many naga morich slices, i'd have been screaming like a little girl, begging for ice cream/milk/the ER. +1 to you both!
