Aha Pia.....more greenery to pot up!
Hmmm......If you can find a way to bring your lights closer to the sprouts they will become sturdy, sooner. I don't use plant tags in my flats, I jot everything down on paper. The tags get in the way of the bulbs....just a thought
Greg the lights are practically sitting on top of the seedlings now. Ill show a picture later when I get home. If I don't tag my seedling tray the way I did, it would get all confusing to me. Remember its my first year and I have to find a system that would keep everything organized. I'm still working out my kinks.

Pia, suggestion: cut the tags to 3/4 so the lights can be lowered. And suggestions are just that: suggestions. You're fine, but I cut mine to 3/4 or less to get the lights down. I, too, could NEVER keep up with what's what without tags. Ya great; and everybody has to have her/his own methods. Peace. Annie.

Thanks Annie. The tags are in the germination tray which aren't under the lights. Maybe I should adjust my grow space to put my germination trays under lights. From what I had been reading it wasn't necessary but maybe I could get some things to pop.

WalkGood runs outside to see if he can lower the sun ;) ... now looking for the closest mountain top, dam none in FL. Note to myself, must start a grow on da Blue Mountains :D ... only jesting, carry on and ignore wg :/

I don't have my germ mats under lights either; it was when going under lights that I discovered, "Oh, these uh tags are hmm, tall!" I got a little niece practically lives on frozen fruit snack thingies, so got pop-cycle sticks, got old window blinds . . . see no problem writing a few taller tags later as long as put the light right on 'em until they grow up, get a job, move outta the house. Wait . . . them get a job?

Ya mean, ya can't lasso da sun, bredren? Fly ya plants to it, then. Think Icarus. Think Paul Kelly's cool song, "Dumb Things"--"I've melted wax to fix my wings . . . I've done all the dumb things." Speaking of (my maybe) dumb things, gonna PM you, Ramon.

I think it was Patrick that informed me about tulle fabrics from the fabric store. And I plan on planting the ones I want to isolate away from the rest

I am going to cover the plant in the fabric with stakes so that the fabric will not weigh the plant down

Cool. I'm going to use Agribon row cover. Haven't decided if I'm going to try to cover whole rows, individual plants, or individual limbs or flowers. Covering multiple individual flowers or limbs on multiple plants of the same strain and then mixing the seed would retain strain purity while maintaining inherent diversity with a minimum amount of fabric.

Sounds like a good idea to do individual limbs. I was going to do the entire plant but maybe I will do limbs instead.

Hey Pia, just read you didn't get the SB7J to pop eh? I have some seeds from a pod that Jamie sent me if you need a couple. Just let me know. Now, you haven't been messing with them babies have you :shame:

Thanks so much for the offer but I have a few seeds left I'm going to try. And I did give the babies water as the pots were really light and the coyts were drying. I lost 12 but they were multiples so I don't need to replace them. They look much much better today. Getting really green and most are getting another set of leaves

This is what me leaving my plants alone looks like. It's a total do over. UGHHHHH

Yeah thank goodness. I dunno wth. Sooooo frustrating. I'm going to do what Mills said I didn't give them a lot of water only a little. I feel like the soil is also compact so maybe I put too much soil in the pots. I dunno

Thanks Mills Sawyer and GH. I was about to throw in the towel. My husband also suggested the fan was making them too cold as there is a window with a draft near by. He moved the fan and I turned on my heat light to make it warmer

Moving the fan is probably alright, but I don't know about the heat lamp, unless it's really cold.

Damn lady...can't win for loosing :(...place them in trays and bottom water them until they no longer soak up water. I fried some last year in my greenhouse and they came back. Good luck...lemme know if you need seeds.
