I was wondering the same thing TB!
I thought maybe they made them different in Miami.....

(scovie - quit cutting in fronta me!!!!!)

The only porn sum is Pming me involves purple velvet, monkeys, the music of The Temptations, a pair of roller skates, and 3 Ringtailed Lemurs.

True story.

Also, this is worth a look see.
Best sandwiches in the US.

I was up late watching Canelo Alvarez kick ass on Lopez. Who's the redheaded stepchild now?

Got me some 16/20 gulf shrimps on sale at the Try-N-Save along with a nice baguette.

But first we make some remoulade. Crap. I gotz no cayenne.

Screw that. We'll make it with canola & olive oil mayo, capers, shallot, pickled chiletepin, a splash of vinegar and Hungarian paprika. I lost 10 pounds this last week so the AA is my treat/cheat to mysef'.

Shrimps.

Corn meal and flour dredge. 1/1 ratio.

Baja style recessed comal. This thing rocks some shrimps!

Loco o' que'? Crazy good!

IMG_4053.JPG

Slather the sauce on and make it wetter than a shampooed water buffalo.

I don't like to be liking lettuce on my po'boy. I do like it "dressed" though with tomato and pickles.

IMG_4055.JPG

This was without a doubt the tastiest po'boy I've ever eaten. The remoulade, the fried shrimp, the baguette, the whole shibang was pure poetry.

The best sammich I've made in a very long time. I pie holed it.

IMG_4057.JPG

I was loving this sammich loooooooooong time.

So where 'dem po' boys at?

Bring 'em y'all!

Oh my. Another Gold Medal from the Blues Casa.

You had me at Capers.

Then you had me again at comal rockin shrimps.

And yet again with remoulade.

I'm all in on that PoBoy there, TB. Awesome job!

nice job TB ... i'm still waiting for the inspiration to come to me on this month's ... that, and ... a month is such a long time ... like ... forever ... lloonngg ...

I thought you were already down for sous vide style roast beef?

Do it.

And dress it in a tomato, pickle, and horseradish Scottish kilt.

I'd pie hole one of those, TB. Damn. That looks great!

Congrats on the 10 lbs.
Can't wait till you get to put it back on. That's the fun part!

Much obliged Fitty.

Ain't gon' be no repeat on the 10# or the next #10.

I got tired of asking mrs. blues if I look fat in these pants.

Fitty its worse than that.

When she's home and off the road and we go out for the day I always catch hell.

"You are NOT going out wearing THAT shirt with THOSE pants."

"Its bad enough I have to be your wife and now I gotta' be your mother too???"

True story.

hahahahahaha!

TB - wear that kilt out in public ONE TIME - and she'll never mention your shirt/pants combo again!!!!!!!

I'd never make it out the front door alive.

And forget about my High-Why-Inn shirts.

I only wear those when she's not around.

Back to sammich's.

I totally FAILED on having one ingredient I normally would have used on it.

Crystal Hot Sauce.

Not hot at all compared to stuff that we use here on THP but when it comes to NOLA style, its certainly apropos.

I have another dozen or so shrimps still left to use up.

I did enough sinning last night with the fried shrimps, bread, and beer.

I reckon I'll go veggies and shrimp cocktail tonight.

I'd have to go all the way down to Plano or Dallas to find any good oysters that don't cost as much as a heart transplant.

So who's going to do up an oyster po'boy?

PNW?

Texas and the Gulf have the best shrimp but y'all up there have the best oysters.

Posty up!

I like to be liking your shrimp, TB. And I like to be liking your sauce, though you seem to like a greater quantity of it at one time than I tend to. Still, sounds like an excellent taste treat!
